Jeffries just blinked on POLY rating I see. kept 'underperform' rating but raised price target.

A definite blink

This company undervalued and under-appreciated compared to gold mining peers.

Given performance and outlook (and new bargain purchase from cash strapped Glencore) downgrades here look highly unlikely.

resurgent . .

And why not

When looked at the in the round and based on last results, outlook statement, dividend yield, valuation and recent purchase from Glencore this is to my mind the most conservatively valued of the the UK listed gold miners. .

nice acquistion.

Given JORC for the new asset and POLY's low production costs looks like an astute buy.

Production to be processed at pre-existing Polymetal facility offsite at Vavara. Rail links all in place.

They know what they are doing . Big increase to reserves and those reserves that can be processed using existing low cost production facilities.

In short Polymetal has the infrastructure in place that Glencore did not to make the most of the Komarovskoye Gold Deposit.

I could be wrong - But as brokers are unenthusiastic here and the yet the share price and the company performance buoyant I conclude that something will have to change.

Therefore I anticipate a gentle slew of upgrades from analysts - They will hate to be behind the curve.

This is one of the most efficient miners on the planet, as shown in your presentation link above.

I think the analysts have got this one wrong - and I am not normally an analyst basher.

I have been comparing POLY with RRS and it beats it on just about every metric.

Yes I know it's in Russia (RRS operates in highly unstable areas in Africa) so I conclude there is some sort of unconscious prejudice regarding the location of the operations.

The truth is that being in Russia is hugely beneficial - cheap diesel and cheap wages afforded by a cheap Ruble (gold being priced as it is in dollars).

From the conference call management are highly intelligent, strategic and have a clear set of objectives and intend to pay chunky dividends along the way.

Got £10 written all over it medium term IMHO

had a few more

This is a good value and deeply profitable gold stock.

Net earnings were US$ 221 million versus a US$ 210 million loss in 2014.

(Incorporated in jersey so No stamp duty payable which is always a bonus)

Just off conference call - capable outfit with clear strategy

They were just fine.

Bad day for miners generally so falling with the sector .... Also...

The market often sells on good results. It is the "it is better to travel than arrive brigade" taking a little money off the table .

A $200 million dollar profit this year as opposed to a $200 million dollar loss last year a pretty fantastic result in any language.

reasonable pe . . . gold price firming this year. . committed dividend policy . . nice

Looks like the market did not like the results. Why? Seem ok to me. Or is it just a matter of buy the rumour sell the news? Or maybe the uptrend is coming to an end.

Hope development tunes with gold rise.
Zang, yep aquisition does not look like an apropriate label unless we both miss something.
Recovering nicely until tomorrow
