06/2/2009 21:37 | should have an update by the end of the month if consistent with last few years... | unionhall
22/1/2009 08:29 | Nothing new, just referenced PYF Technology Partners has invested about half of its $750 million portfolio in a "microcosm" of this range of green technology companies, he said. That includes electric car startup Tesla Motors, CoalTek, "next-generation" nickel zinc battery developer PowerGenix, methanol fuel cell developer PolyFuel, biodiesel maker Imperium Renewables. | morgs
16/1/2009 16:01 | Ok who bought the 100k off the MM's, I had my eye on that. | morgs

07/1/2009 18:37 | Hi LS The information Ive had from FPS is they are considering investing the free cash they have available. I think they are looking at some deals. So there may not be a cash return this month. There is also approx 0.9p per share still in China. This is secure but its taking longer than they though getting it out. cheers | hugepants
07/1/2009 13:15 | hugepants, news due this month on our FPS shares. Should be a good return :) | lord santafe
07/1/2009 11:58 | Yep end of Feb for the more formal trading statement, I remember the RNS on the Lenovo cell but they were released in July (I have finally checked). I am seeing patterns where there just are no patterns. | morgs
07/1/2009 11:41 | they tend to do a TS end February from memory, Morgs. | callumross
07/1/2009 11:36 | Could be, I have a google news watch on this, I have done for a while. They do like to make annoucements at this time of the year, before the trade shows start but I would put it squarely down to illiquidity. | morgs
07/1/2009 11:18 | an announcement imminent on the prototype perhaps? Hope so! | callumross
07/1/2009 11:09 | dont get suckered in | asparks
07/1/2009 10:37 | Parvez - This stock is very illiquid, basically the MM have no stock. | morgs

31/12/2008 08:58 | HP > You bought 60K, I know that because I bought the 100K yesterday! One reason, I am long, is I have followed PYF for a few years now. Whilst the whole fuel cell going retail always seems to remain an illusive year away. This year has brought some real changes on the automotive front, ie Tesla and Honda's Hydrogen fuel cell car, so what you may say. Well in this area power to weight is the important ratio, get it right for a laptop and you get it right for hundreds of other applications. The noise that Obama is making regarding alternative energies which is promising. Li will remain dominant for some years just from sheer scale but there is the massive enviornmental impact that Li has. That is Clarkson's favourite anti tree hugging line, and he is right! I am not saying that DMFC will win, which is why I don't have all my money riding on this 100K's worth of shares is hardly betting the house! The risk of delisting is quite major at this price as I noticed that quite a few are giving up with the cost of remaining listed. On the financials, I notice that the US Army gave $2m for development last year, now there is someone who have a need for Li alternatives. As of 30 June 2008, the Company had US$6.3 million of cash and cash equivalents, and short-term investments of US$3.7 million for a total of US$10.0 million available to fund future operations. The following table sets out the Company's sources and uses of cash for the periods presented: Six Months Ended 30 June 2008 2007 US$ US$ Cash used in operating activities (3,664,845) (4,327,853) Cash provided by investing activities 2,802,463 1,679,330 Cash provided by financing activities 45,000 8,287 Net decrease in cash and cash equivalents (817,382) (2,640,236) | morgs
30/12/2008 16:27 | I bought some earlier today. PYF should have 7p per share of cash. They also state in interims they have enough cash through 2009. So thats 12 months from now. Market cap is less than £1M but they've raised $37M in private placings since 1999 and another £17M since listing on AIM. The technology looks to me as though it has significant value. Worst case I see the company being bought out or taken private at several times current share price. Dyor of course. I may end up looking like a pillock but this isnt a Voller Energy. I think theres a lot of value here. The financial highlights section on the website gives a good summary - | hugepants
30/12/2008 11:44 | H P - if you're right, that should be some support for the PYF share price, which has traded below NAV for some time. The current MCap of PYF is £0.93m. At 30/06 they had net assets (tangible) of $10.1m (current $6.1m). The trouble is that their expenditure is about $7m pa. Unfortunately, I think the demise of Li-ion batteries in favour of DMFCs has been postponed indefinitely by the economic climate. | jonwig
30/12/2008 11:41 | HugePants - Good observation, as I say I can't find any real reason for the PYF hammering, other than as you say the CMF, sod off market we are having this for ourselves move. | morgs
30/12/2008 11:30 | Isnt this drop due to the recent news from CMR Fuel Cells (CMF). They are offering shareholders 20p per share which Id estimate is below the current net cash level. In other words no value assigned to the intellectual property. | hugepants |
