12/8/2016 16:29 | The NAV is over 20 p | spights
12/8/2016 14:09 | That's quite a stake. Thanks 888 | frrinvest
12/8/2016 13:35 | Polo has a 27.8% interest in GCM. | 888icb
12/8/2016 12:53 | Hi all, IIRC, yonks ago - in Dattels' time - there was some kind poster who used to do an occasional sum-of-the-parts valuation of POL. I'll try to locate/update, if I can. POL seems to be trading well below NAV, could we be vulnerable to an opportunistic MBO ? On the face of it , Tang and others don't have the votes (only abt 26% not 'public'), but 'knowledge is power'. ATB | extrader
12/8/2016 12:10 | Thanks Spights I would expect the Sierra Leone Government to be extremely keen to encourage foreign investment and job creation as soon as possible. If they have any sense at all, their Government will remove as many obstacles as possible and fast track mine development. Early creation of jobs should lead to health improvements throughout the local community. In fact, it would be in Polo's interest to provide clean water, health care, sanitation etc. for the local community asap, to ensure the local work force are fit, healthy and ready to start mining. | g0ldfinger
12/8/2016 12:02 | Does anybody know what proportion of investment Polo Resources have in GCM? | frrinvest
12/8/2016 11:34 | GCM moving sharply north at the moment. | 888icb
12/8/2016 11:13 | Thank you Spights | 888icb
12/8/2016 11:05 | Dear Maureen, Thanks for contacting us. We do very much appreciate your support. Regarding Nimini, we are using the post-Ebola period to pursue the Mine Development Agreement (MDA) which is a critical step to us moving forward, i.e. an MDA sets out the fiscal terms under which Projects will be developed and in particular they involve negotiated concessions. Until the MDA is agreed and ratified by the Sierra Leone parliament we are keeping the Project on care and maintenance to minimise costs. Sorry there is nothing more to report and yes, we must catch up at an AGM. Regards, Kudzayi Sent: 29 June 2016 20:48 To: Kudzayi Denenga | spights
12/8/2016 10:24 | Hi guys, Agree some update/news would be welcome ! It seems pretty pathetic that a group that doesn't have any operations, just a bunch of (mostly quoted) investments can't manage to keep its shareholders better informed ! AIUI, we shouldn't expect anything formal from POL until the 30 June year end results are revealed in late December, is that right ? ATB | extrader
12/8/2016 10:01 | Good point Goldfinger. I think it would be appropriate for Polo to update us on Nimini. If it can now move forward again we should get a value boost. | 888icb
12/8/2016 09:25 | Any news about Nimini? "The World Health Organisation declared Sierra Leone Ebola transmission free on 17 March 2016 following a contained outbreak on 20 January 2016. " The neighbouring Countries; "The World Health Organisation declared Liberia Ebola transmission free on 9 June 2016 following a new and contained outbreak on 31 March 2016. " "The World Health Organization declared the end of Ebola virus transmission in Guinea on 1 June 2016, following a new and contained outbreak which began 17 March 2016." "As of Dec. 01, 2015, the World Bank Group has mobilized US$1.62 billion in financing for Ebola response and recovery efforts to support the countries hardest hit by Ebola. This includes US$260 million for Guinea; US$385 million for Liberia and US$318 million for Sierra Leone. The US$1.62 billion total also includes US$1.17 billion from IDA, the World Bank Group’s fund for the poorest countries and at least US$450 million from IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, to enable trade, investment and employment in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone." www.worldbank.org/en | g0ldfinger
10/8/2016 20:03 | All heading in the right direction Paleje, blk up to 94c overnight and gold on the way up today, even if it has come off the high of the day, slowly slowly catch the Monkey! Nice to here there is capacity in most part of the plant to uplift production with minimal Capex required for Mill capacity. I think if gold can hold/improve on where it currently sits and with the first Gold pour due with in the month all is look good! | sh0wmethemoney
10/8/2016 15:42 | Blackham's MD Bryan Dixon on how things are going and expected to go, 3 min vid:- | paleje
05/8/2016 11:15 | Add cash to that, Sh0wme, and surely (I haven't done the sums) it must be close to our current mcap. So other assets in for free. Plus one mad punt GCM which 'if' it got the go ahead would overshadow all the rest. So yes I think so too it has to move up. Some time:) | paleje
05/8/2016 11:03 | "This has to move up soon!" - You would have thought so - but this is Polo so - it moves down. | folderboy
05/8/2016 08:45 | Blk up 6% over night to 95.5c taking stake in that up to just under 11m, this has to move up soon! | sh0wmethemoney
04/8/2016 17:35 | Had a top up today of 16:09 but showing as a sale | sh0wmethemoney
03/8/2016 22:37 | Thanks for the video link Paleje, perhaps we could have an opportunity to increase stake above the current 8.11% on attractive terms further down the road to help fund the Mill upgrade. | sh0wmethemoney
03/8/2016 22:24 | Paleje Thankyou £££ | spights
03/8/2016 21:45 | Polo's. 8.11%. holding in BLK would be worth over £20 million if it reaches the above figure Yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa | spights
03/8/2016 20:51 | Sorry about the long link, not at laptop, but it's an upgrade for Blackham short term plus a projected value assuming the 200k oz annual production. Blackham's m/cap more than doubles under those circumstances which are looking increasingly possible. Just shows how you can drop lots of clangers but if you get just one spectacularly right, still come out smelling of roses. If a few of the 'clangers' turn out not to be, which I'm certain they will, then Mr T and the rest of us could eventually do very nicely. | paleje
