New Director

The Board of Polar Capital Technology Trust plc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Tim Cruttenden as an Independent Non-executive Director with effect from 23 March 2017.

Mr Cruttenden is currently Chief Executive Officer of VenCap International plc having been with that company in various positions since 1994. VenCap International plc is an independent investment advisory firm focused on investing in top-tier venture capital funds in the US, Europe, China and India.

A resolution proposing the election of Mr Cruttenden as a non-executive director will be put to shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting of the Company due to be held in September 2017.

Mr Cruttenden currently does not hold any shares in Polar Capital Technology Trust plc.

There is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules in respect of Mr Cruttenden.
