25/1/2017 05:42 | More info: Electric car sales continuing to grow The last three years have seen a remarkable surge in demand for electric vehicles in the UK – new registrations of plug-in cars increased from 3,500 in 2013 to around 85,000 by January 2017. There has also been a huge increase in the number of electric and plug-in hybrid models available in the UK with many of the top manufacturers in the UK now offering an EV as part of their model range. How many electric vehicles have been sold in the UK? Monthly figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) show that electric car sales in the UK have risen dramatically during the past two years. While only around 500 electric cars were registered per month during the first half of 2014, this has now risen to an average of almost 3,000 per month during 2016. By the end of 2016, 35,402 plug-in cars had been registered, the highest number ever. As a percentage of new car registrations, electric cars now represent around 1.3 per cent of the total new car market in the UK. The cumulative figure also shows sustained and dramatic growth of the EV car and van market. According to the Office for Low Emission Vehicles (OLEV) and SMMT, around 85,000 claims have been made through the Plug-in Car and Van Grant schemes by the end of 2016. Taken together with the fact that a significant number of electric cars and vans which are not eligible for the grant schemes have also been registered, the total UK light-duty electric fleet is 90,000 electric vehicles strong. Now that shows an ever increasing demand on the grid. | marvin9

23/1/2017 09:47 | looks like there is fat chance of 2.6p guyswonga74. But good luck with your negotiations...! | bishopawn
23/1/2017 00:03 | I am going to invest £12k into Plautus this week. Hoping for 2.6p entry. Love the latest results, no placing shares to come and eventually this seller will be gone. If I miss 2.6p then so be it | guyswonga74
22/1/2017 23:57 | The free float of shares is not huge, and so once the seller has completed their run, supply and demand will continue to push the price higher, imho. | bishopawn
22/1/2017 23:51 | There are 2 or 3 large investors that are just under 3% I understand apart from the above. But they are rock solid I think. So it's not them to blame for the selling. | bishopawn
22/1/2017 23:51 | Around the time of the AGM on 21st August 2014 here were the largest shareholdings: - Paternoster 40,000,000 representing 24.35% - Charles Tatnall 28,000,000 representing 17.05% - Attune Energy 20,833,333 representing 12.68% - James Longley 20,000,000 representing 12.18% - Richard Hoblyn 8,000,000 representing 4.87% - Robert Savill 6,000,000 representing 3.64% - Andrew Hobbs 5,700,000 representing 3.49% Paternoster were entitled to a further 40,000,0000 shares for the Convertible Loan note of £100,000 @ 0.25 pence a share. 22/1/2017 19:29 | If its you Bishop, I'm gonna poke you in the eye lol | marvin9
22/1/2017 16:08 | It's not Paternoster, nor is it Chelverton Trust that had 30,000,000 the last time I looked but it may be more now, nor was it a few big hitters like Zengas, that I am aware of. Nor is it me!! So still a bit of a mystery and irritating as to why now of all times, except that if someone bought around 1 penny one can understand. They may even be a distressed seller and the market knows "x" millions will be presented for sale in an orderly way gradually. But in any case it is not coming from an infinite source and therefore will stop sooner or later. Others are happy to buy up the slack within this current trading range in view of the next couple of months of likely good news and the exciting months beyond that. Onward and upward will certainly be order of the day for all sailing on the very happy ship Plutus. Those not yet on board, should stop dallying and buy their tickets before it is too late and they live to regret having missed the boat. | bishopawn
22/1/2017 13:30 | BTW Marvin.....when DO you sleep?...:-)) | marvelman
22/1/2017 13:29 | Thanks for your input Marv, fully agree, the sells were to similar in volume to be anything else. Lets hope new contracts are obtained towards the end of this month then we might see a further rise. | marvin9
22/1/2017 13:08 | Marvin For what it is worth I have been convinced for a good few weeks (almost months) that there is a large seller. There are others that believe there is more than one seller. My view is based on the constant hits of 250k sells once a batch of that value buys have accumulated sufficiently to match off. If so it can surely only be PRS who is the largest shareholder outside of the directors. I do not believe it is finished but on the other hand I do not see the share price falling below a number that will stop the uptrend as I believe it is being managed very well by the MMs. Frustrating but as a now converted long term holder I am content. | marvelman |
