Well the bid is confirmed from BT at 2.10. Holders are being asked to confirm acceptance. I for one am inclined to think that they will be getting this on the cheap. I think there's room for improvement on this.

yes indeed... but the original analysis was sound... BT only paid a slight premium to the share price.... so the loss from this would of been small and the gain if it had of fallen through would of been high.. So probably still right to have gone short but obviously glad I didn't Slapper

Think results are out on Thursday, as well as BT results. Surely there will be some sort of announcement.

long term, all depends on what is on offer for plusnet, £2,looks a safer floor now but I don't know what more we will get, holding anyway after buying at sub 150p, lucky ones or rather brave ones that went in around £1, richly deserved double!

I see no-one wants to try and tell me why I am wrong! Sure the bid will push the price up but long term where do they go?

edmond sales for calendar 06 nearly £50, market cap here £60. 1.2x?

Thanks abcd1234, realistic upside means speculating on a bidding war then. Was most intrigued yesterday afternoon but appeared speculative. An immediate buyer of 287 shares disputes my caution!

Currently (200p) valued at about 1.5 times sales, I wonder to what extent big companies such as BT can over-pay in takeovers.
