Too much focus by some on Founders selling. Given the size as I said earlier they were price takers. The more important/significant side of the trade are those that invested over £100m at 650p - the price makers and they won't have gone in blind
There was a post above about Founders previous sales but it didn't include the float
Here are the full details of their sales
Jul 2013 Float - Founders sell 29m at 135p
Feb 2014 Placing - Founders sell 20m at 500p
Sep 2016 Placing - Founders sell 15.5m at 650p
Remaining holding 25.4m circa 22%

Having bought back some of my holding this morning (fortunately sold just two weeks back as didn't want to hold through Q3 KPIs as expectation of reduced ARPU in a low volatility period) I am now waiting for Q3 KPIs before adding or sticking.

Little bit of additional news today although relative to other events perhaps not that significant?

Missed it, drat! I was going to take some profits at 750p and buy back in when the price dropped back ... and I didn't. But hey, ho. It's a good share, IMHO, and the founders/directors taking some cash out for other things is ok by me. On all the valuation bases that I use, PLUS is a solid business, and I'm happy to have them in my portfolio. The price won't take long to build back up, especially as for a while it's selling at a discount, effectively.

Just topped up I don't think there is anything sinister in this one
I suspect the price drop a lot as most are sold already and I like company were founder sell the majority share as it make more appealing for takeover and people that want to build a larger stake

They did a very similar share placing on 27th February 2014, only this time there were more shares, 20 million shares sold at 500, a discount of 11.5% to the previous share price of 565p. This represented 17.4% of the issued share capital.

Thereafter, for the next year every update was ahead of expectation (2.4.14, 1.7.14, 22.10.14) or in line with expectations (13.8.14)with strong results 25.2.15.

Then two NEDs bought small share holdings above the 500 placing 22.12.14 at 565 and 27.10.14 518.

This placing represents less sale of capital 13% leaving them with 22%.

It looks a similar desire to liquidate some cash from the business. You can't buy bread and wine ... or nice cars with shares.

I just thought this history helpful, and relevant.

Dont you understand? It is not easy to sell these amount of shares without offering a decent discount.As it happens all the shares were snapped up by the institutions at the offer price.

Lydnem - You're getting hysterical, not good for the old blood pressure. There have been very good opportunities to make money out of PLUS over the last several years. I know I made some. I have no idea if the directors selling is good, bad or indifferent, but there will always be another opportunity to make money….long or short.
