28/7/2009 09:11 | Many thanks Metal Man, hope it's OK to paste your summary on the CHX bb. Excellent to see PPN moving up day after day. | jonny flame
25/7/2009 08:11 | Metal Man - as I very much respect your opinion, time and inclination permitting, would you be able to have a look at CHX and give your balanced assessment of this share? Obviously if you feel it improper to reply on this bb then we can discuss on the CHX bb. I do not currently hold any CHX. Thanks in advance and once again thanks for your postings on this bb as they are most informative and helpful. Regards, JF | jonny flame
24/7/2009 17:20 | Nice end to the week. | jonny flame
22/7/2009 13:32 | And a steady rise today. | the metal man
21/7/2009 18:05 | Nice come back towards the end of the day. | jonny flame
20/7/2009 16:18 | Nice to see some positive movement here, much more to come I feel. | jonny flame
10/7/2009 16:51 | Thanks for getting back to me metal man, very interesting. I have picked up a few shares today in PPN. | jonny flame
07/7/2009 13:19 | perhaps making keith liddell Executive Chairman a few of weeks ago did not excite the investors, you only have to look at some of the other companies he was involved in that went out of business, | macca42
07/7/2009 08:40 | Dire need of some news here, but I'm not too concerned. PPN will play by its own very idiosyncratic rules until the market knows it is in full flow and making serious cash | murrayteller
03/7/2009 22:27 | Metal Man - apart from PPN what other natural resource stocks do you find interesting? | jonny flame
01/7/2009 19:42 | Patience..... | the metal man
26/6/2009 10:45 | I've doubled my position this week. Bargain compared to recent placing price of 52p imho....with final results, bridge loan extension and power supply news since thrown in. | monhearme
11/6/2009 13:45 | Well done murrayteller. The health and safety issue at the mine that suspended the stockpiling pulled the share price back whilst it was up C$0.06 at the time. It has dropped back further subsequently. It has not affected the production side and as soon as stockpiling can continue they should catch up. As you said PNN look cheap even compared with PLAA at present, and I am also delighted being a holder of both. The rise in the PLAA share price should be a good benchmark for when the h&s issues are resolved. They have actually presented an opportunity to buy stock cheaply although the UK share price is higher than in Toronto. I will be watching the TSX today for signs of a change in sentiment. Hopefully it will not be too long before the company announces a resumption of stockpiling. | the metal man
11/6/2009 12:57 | Good luck murrayteller. Nice to see more rdg old boys finding a home here (and plaa).Agreed the full power installation was massive news given the situation in sa. I too will be adding on further weakness when funds allow. One for the bottom drawer perhaps but a topdrawer pgm miner in the making imho. | monhearme
11/6/2009 12:19 | In for 40k and will add on weakness. Makes even PLAA look expensive at this price. Getting full power is an absolute coup in SA at the moment. A very, very big deal overlooked by the market. Metal Man, thanks for spreading your wisdom. These are for the bottom draw since it's going to be a rocky old ride | murrayteller
09/6/2009 11:14 | Well done monhearme. I know the spread is prohibitive and creates a bigger risk in the event of a downturn, however, PPN has to be treated as a long term strategy and I believe patience will be rewarded. | the metal man
05/6/2009 22:49 | I've built a stake over the last two weeks. | monhearme
05/6/2009 17:13 | Thanks laser, I have spent some time number crunching and when compared to it's peers, PPN keeps coming out the most undervalued. It is one of two stocks I hold that have their main listing in Toronto, however, both of thm seem to be underperforming given the stats and when drawing comparisons. With 250k oz pa low cost production imminent and a robust pt price, perhaps seeing is believing and it will be down to the next set of figures to prompt any significant share price movement. | the metal man
23/5/2009 17:24 | The Metal Man - I like to think I too base my decisions on the mid to long term, hence, as I indicated the other day, now kicking myself at letting the spread discourage me from accepting a quote at around 45 pence and a couple of times since. I really don't know what came over me......a big spread hasn't put me off in the past......best example I can think of is buying AYM at 0.675 pence in 2002, with the bid 0.25 pence, offer 0.75 pence!! Perhaps it wasn't the spread that got in the way here but rather the fact that the share price had doubled in quick time from when PPN first appeared on my watchlist......aroun Anyway, that's enough blather from me, but just like to say still looking for a comfortable entry level here....last week placing price of 52 pence would do nicely, whatever the bid. ;-) | monhearme
22/5/2009 19:01 | Hi laser, It's good to see you on this board. I have no doubt about the future for RDG as a part of AQP, I am just not prepared to put up with the volatility that the AQP price dictates, together with the outside risk the deal will fail to go through. Personally I would sooner wait and reinvest in AQP again once the dust settles. monhearne, True, the spread on PPN is off putting, however, I base my buying decision on where I believe the medium to long term lies. Hence, when I bought earlier this year it was at 23.5p and then at 28.5p (with a sell price at 23.5p). At present both of those decisions were well justified. Likewise with PLAA at 27.5p, and as you point out, their prospects have improved again with the latest acquisition. | the metal man |
