30/9/2010 12:01 | davidosh Faisal was just about in the middle of the show & he didn't get through until 7.30. After the event the rain was even worse so it would have been a very wet DD on the way home. There were about 60 attendees & I detected a bit of interest in PLA in a couple of them. I agreed with Nick Ball that a small fan club of just a dozen high net worth individuals & some specialist VCT or AIM funds would do wonders for liquidity & the share price. We've got movement today & I suspect that it's partially down to buying interest from last night. I've been trying to top-up with 5-10,000 for a couple of days with nothing on offer. Looks like the market makers are trying to buy some for stock - and a nice 2p rise results. | electronica
30/9/2010 11:12 | LOL....no umbrella so I certainly got drenched getting to Moorgate tube. It was about an hour ahead of the presentations so dashed for home. I was also a bit concerned that Faisal may be last to present and was not interested in all the others. How many investors attended ? | davidosh
30/9/2010 11:08 | Cheers David - I have done. Certainly was the wrong evening to discover you have a hole in your shoe :(( | sivadnoj
30/9/2010 10:54 | sivadnoj....Excellen | davidosh
30/9/2010 10:47 | sivadnoj Agreed - a very polished presentation. I was the guy who asked the question about the Q3 Trading Statement. I had a long talk with Nick Ball (FD) in the pub afterwards & your views on PLA being an excellent recovery play are spot-on. | electronica
30/9/2010 10:31 | A polished and upbeat presentation last night which included a well put together video explaining the various products. I now know what a creasing matrix is! Trading statement due within a week. Highlights from yesterday evening: - Strong trend of increasing volumes has continued throughout FY10. - PLA benefitting from a rising tide as economic recovery kicks in. The tide still has a long way to go according to Faisal. - Sales offices opened in India and China in the last 6 months. - Debt being paid down "as we speak" and at a faster rate than earlier in the year. - Some acquisition opportunities beginning to emerge, although the focus remains on organic growth and cash generation. Unfortunately I wasn't able to stay on after the presentation to talk to Faisal and the CFO but I was impressed by the presentation. Customer list is to die for. They have taken a lot of headcount out of the business in the UK and the Thai factory is now doing the tasks which were previously outsourced. Continues to look like an excellent recovery play. | sivadnoj
29/9/2010 11:42 | I'm planning to attend this evening. Will report back anything of interest. | sivadnoj
21/9/2010 14:59 | They are presenting on the 29th so would need to update whole market before then if they have news to share with investors | davidosh
21/9/2010 14:51 | Trading update on 21 September last year. Perhaps we can expect something soon. | sivadnoj
10/9/2010 17:48 | FYI. There is a financial event in September and PLA will be there: | miro56
02/9/2010 15:29 | I am planning to go to a presentation they do on the 29th in the City. There are information on this site: | bokchr
18/8/2010 13:49 | I am afraid I could not make the AGM as I was leaving the next day for a two week family holiday and all the last minute stuff got in the way. It seems that there has been interest over the last few days though with staedy moves up but I could not see the trades...maybe an order being filled and MMs trying to encourage sellers. I am now catching up with the post holiday backlog but will ring the directors to ask how the meeting went ! | davidosh
30/7/2010 18:36 | David - if you have an opportunity to post any feedback from the AGM that would be enormously appreciated. regards | sivadnoj
29/7/2010 21:10 | daviddosh Had planned to go but other stuff has turned up. I'm not expecting any new trading news tomorrow (are you?) & if there is then guess that we will see an RNS in the morning. I was looking foward to meeting Faisal R & Nick B after taking part in the teleconference a few weeks back - but am sure that a report from you on the proceedings will negate my dissapointment completely. | electronica
29/7/2010 20:59 | Anyone else going to the Agm ? | davidosh
08/7/2010 12:37 | Yesterday the RNS said.... Plastics Capital plc (AIM: PLA) the fast growing niche plastics products manufacturer, announces that the annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2010 has been distributed to shareholders today. It has never stated fast growing before !?? Revenues were lower in the results just gone so clearly they are very much back on an upward path to be able to confidently state that...Hopefully there will be a trading update with the AGM statement. I shall be attending along with a few others. | davidosh
30/6/2010 19:19 | Hoodless B Plastics Capital (PLA, 31p, £8.36m)reported FY results to 31 March 2010. Despite a marginal fall in sales good profit growth was driven by lower costs improved margins with some benefit of weaker sterling with international sales now representing 61% of total. Turnover was £26.7m (£28.2m); EBITDA £5m (£4.1m); PBT £3m (£2m) & compared to the markets £2.8m; Adj. EPS were 8.0p (5.4p) compared to the markets 7.5p. Strong cash flow enabled bank debt to be reduced by £2.9m to £16.1m which, while still high, left interest cover at a manageable at 3.7x. Recovery in volumes from the March 2009 low point and a continued focus on expansion in, China India, US & Brazil were highlights. All subsidiaries are delivering good profitability and Global economic recovery, new business wins and new products are expected to contribute to significant growth over the next few years with the board buoyant on this year's prospects. Cheapness in the rating must (now only 3.8x historic) partly reflects the high debt which is understandable but the company still looks good value, its ability to pay down debt and manage costs and growth prospects encouraging. BUY with a price target of 49p. | stegrego
29/6/2010 09:51 | Conference call ?? I am interested to know more I will certainly be at the AGM on 30th July | davidosh
29/6/2010 08:32 | Anyone taking part in the conference call on Thursday? If you're not & you're interested please let me know & I'll post the email details of the co-ordinator on here. Looks like it's another step on the road to getting a city following for PLA. | electronica
29/6/2010 08:17 | Looks very promising and outlook very positive IMO. Good to see the debt coming down as that is what worries most investors. | davidosh
29/6/2010 08:01 | Debt reduced and RBS have made some helpful tweaks to the facility agreements. Demand seen as picking up strongly. Very solid. | sivadnoj |
