Posted at 16/2/2018 18:51 by dontshoutatonce Is there anything we can do to become part of the new company without being forced to sell ours in PIM? Anyone know much about this sort of thing? |
Posted at 30/1/2018 20:26 by cjac39 some random thoughts that may or may not help:- bayers merger with monsanto isnt going well - the brazilians in the chain were pumping up overall sales of a $2bln sales business - ze german bayer guys got annoyed at this and went to brazil and shut down turnover pumping activities at all costs - decent selling products, like ours to 4500 individual farmers, were therefore halted. its not a veritas failure as some say - its bayer big picture stuff. for sure unhelpful and reduces next year revs but by no means an indication of failure - prior to and meanwhile, some stakeholders in PIM were thinking giving Bayer 1x the Gross profit that PIM earn for selling might be uneconomic - pim has some great proven tech and some unproven super great tech that is closer to realisation than many in the space - there isnt a controlling shareholder who will smoke all others (v important) - they have a decent contingent of cash - they can turn off spending very quickly - many of their current shareholders bought the story at 31 and forward outlook hasnt changed much |

Posted at 03/1/2018 22:49 by cerrito PIM were on the ball doing their placing on July 26 one day before the Bayer Q2 conference call. |
Posted at 02/1/2018 23:55 by cerrito Thanks for your work Wan and as a holder I hope your optimism is justified though I am more pessimistic than you.Interested to read your resumes of the Bayer conference calls which did spell out the situation pretty clearly. In some ways I have only myself to blame as I did not organize myself to listen to them: my congratulations to those who did listen to them and sell out of PIM. |
Posted at 18/12/2017 11:27 by here and there If I read that right, some II has taken out a short position on PIM of nearly 9 million shares. Can anyone confirm/contradict my reading of that RNS? |
Posted at 17/12/2017 18:39 by buywell3 Nobody has talked about CASHClearly PIM need some to keep trading as sales have slumped Hence a cash call is coming ... soon This is why some Institutions have bailed Because they don't want to put in more cash Any Institution that might put in say £6M to buy some time Will want to get in at circa 30% lower that the current share price or lower still Hence present holders look set to see their equity get watered down Not nice best of luck to those left holding |
Posted at 16/12/2017 18:21 by buywell3 If anyone here thinks Bayer are going to do PIM any favours they should not be investingIf PIM goes into adminisration Bayer might buy parts of PIM for peanuts The power lies in the BIG money as and was and always will be the case The lesson here is:- Getting into bed on a 1 to 1 with a BIG player might result into a right royal shafting in the end. Last post for now |
Posted at 13/12/2017 09:12 by glenglen mthead- over the past few months there has been so much talk (I could use a different four letter word but I won't) on this company and as I said in a post about a month ago - price will go down and either someone will buy it (cheaply and at shareholders expense) or in comes the receiver or the liquidator - bets now being taken if it is a receiver or a liquidator! My view is simple and I think borne out by the market - we were being strung along - talks with Bayer and others giving the impression they were interested - yeah right. Have the board of PIM given any explanation - can't wait to hear it but in meantime they are pulling in the salaries - make it last while they can I suppose |
