But he may have some juicy new contract details for investors. Meanwhile, no fireworks are expected from Vodafone with its technical update this week. But there may be more share activity at stocks such as Virgin Media, while Pipex is finally set to be acquired by Oakley Capital

Result of General Meeting and Change of Name


The Board of the Company announces that, at the General Meeting held earlier
today, the following resolutions were all duly passed:


Resolution 1: to authorise the Directors to allot Ordinary Shares;

Resolution 2: to authorise the Company to purchase its own
Ordinary Shares;

Resolution 3: to approve the Share Capital Adjustment and the
Capital Reduction;

Resolution 4: to approve the change of name of the Company; and

Resolution 5: to disapply pre-emption rights on the allotment of
Ordinary Shares.

Capital Reduction

The proposed Capital Reduction (as described in the Reduction Circular dated 8
February 2008) is still conditional on the confirmation of the High Court of
Justice in England and Wales. This application is expected to be heard by the
Court on 19 March 2008.

Change of Name

It is expected that the name change to 'FREEDOM4 Communications plc' will be
registered today and that the Company's Ordinary Shares will trade with the TIDM
of 'FFC' with effect from the commencement of trading tomorrow, Tuesday 4 March
2008.

The ISIN Code of the Company's Ordinary Shares will remain the same, being
GB0005846018.

Reason I ask is as it was suggested this might be a buying opportunity with cash receipts from the sell off - but if same management in place to market Wimax I am doing a bit of due diligence on their competence.

Tiscali's two-million UK broadband subscribers may soon be ringing another ISP when their connection goes down if reports on the web are to be believed.

Tiscali is facing a shake-up following the departure of its CEO, Tomasso Pompei, and his replacement by board member Mario Rosso.

In a cryptic statement, the company says it now plans to "explore options to create value for shareholders connected with the process of consolidation taking place in the European telecommunications sector."

Bloggers are already translating this as a hint that Tiscali is going to sell off its broadband business - which will affect both its customers and those who signed up to Pipex - which was bought by Tiscali last July.
