Don't forget the ASDA purchase which, although high revenue, will probably be loss making in the short term. The company stated the FX movement should balance this, so I'm no expecting this years' profits to be greatly different to previous expectations.

Was shocked that I was able to buy at 145p having watched this hit 180p in April thinking I had missed the boat. That was pre Brexit and the collapse in GBP. FX movements alone will put profits way ahead of what could have been expected pre Brexit when this was 180p a share. Don't understand this, 200p seems a safe bet short term.

The AGM date of 20 Oct has been on the Financial Calendar section of the company website for several months

The Times has PHTM down for both an AGM and trading statement on Thursday which would seem to make sense as it would be inline with previous years.

Look at the changes in the exchange rates between the pound and the Yen/Euro since their last reported results. 75% of their income is from overseas earnings.

Interesting action toward the close there. Buyers starting to take control with the bulk of the discounted stock looking like it has been sold or fully sold.

That chart looks like it might be turning up too, and with the AGM statement on Thursday, expecting more buying pressure.

Looks very encouraging!

Gleach, tks for that, although I tend to wait for the divi cycle to come round again before I buy. Other more immediate inveatments to put my money in 1st. I admit I was tempted at 142p.

tks
Rich

We were trading at 160 before the ex-div. 6.1p ex-div so fundamentally (and given no adverse news) the stock shouldn't have strayed too far away from 154.

Clearly the sellers are having to give a discount of 10p from the ex-div price to sell in size, with a fair bit shifted at 144, and a little further discount now with stock being shifted at 142.75. Even if it were Schroders, they won't be selling the lot, they have been doing it in batches, so once this allocation of stock has been shifted, we'll head back up again.

Grab the discount whilst it is there is my continued view.

Price being held back by someone still dumping large volumes. Crazy!

Robbie Burns buying more feels like a very positive thing to me. Don't get the negativity?

"So onto buys first.

We looked at Photo-Me (PHTM) at the follow up seminar on Monday as it had gone down and we figured it was selling after a massive dividend payout as stops got hit and others sold thinking something was wrong.

Indeed can be a good strategy to buy a share a couple of days after a big ex div. I bought on direct access at the sell price. Great management at this company and a massive cash pile hence the large dividend just paid out. Always a lovely buy on any dip. In for longer-term."

Strange one this; I bought around the brexit time in the 130's and sold at 159p after being happy with a 15%ish return in not a very long amount of time... but now it's getting cheaper, and the fundamentals are improving. Not a fan of fighting the market while it's sliding, but does seem to strange (insti dumping or not)
