05/7/2016 10:35 | FIL have added to their holdings, up from 29.7 million to 31.3 million. Smart move, £ tanking again. Headed higher after this dip. | sphere25
05/7/2016 09:49 | FIL holdings before, and after, triggering transaction appear to be identical. | eeza
04/7/2016 16:19 | Thanks for the SCSW update, napoleon & sphere | wirralowl
04/7/2016 08:07 | Very good write up by SCSW. In a nutshell, they're saying fears are massively overblown and they expect this to re-test those highs up at 183. | sphere25
03/7/2016 23:38 | It was an answer to your question, but maybe not an obvious one. At this time the company has all the cash it needs, so it pays a special dividend. I think you'll find this won't be so regular an occurrence in the future. The company is a cash cow, so the board let us milk it. Buffy | buffythebuffoon
03/7/2016 19:33 | Thanks buffy although that wasn't the question I was interested in :) | smokybenchod
03/7/2016 19:03 | Smoky..., You don't aggressively pursue an opportunity until you have adequately trialed it to ascertain the potential! As for 'troubled world markets', when weren't they? Buffy | buffythebuffoon
03/7/2016 15:17 | What is everyone's view on why the company pays out the majority of profits in dividends rather than investing it to grow the business further? The cynic in me is saying the regular income to the CEO because of his large holding. Think the laundry area could be a good opportunity if they pursued it more aggressively on a global scale. | smokybenchod
03/7/2016 12:42 | Like I said, my concern isn't with phtm it's the main mkt. I'm not adding now due to what I see as troubled times for world mkts. | celeritas
03/7/2016 11:14 | From today's SCSW - refers directly to Asda deal which, as I anticipated last week, is no big deal.. "Pirona is coy on confirming the terms/size of the impending purchase of Asda’s photobooth estate. Suffice to say it probably won’t be that large as it only covers 180 stores." Of course, everything about PHTM is positive EXCEPT ONE THING - share price non-progress. Unfortunately, the P/E, with 8p eps anticipated, is high at c. 18 due to a high depreciation charge, & the market is unwilling to value the shares on ebitda as well, despite the high & safe yield. So my take is that you have to be extra-patient, ultra-conservative in your investment policy, going for dividends first & foremost, to hold PHTM. I like growth shares most, so have not & will not add to my stake in PHTM as it's 5% of my PF. | napoleon 14th

01/7/2016 13:38 | Ah we're not playing total doom and gloom then lol Still, can't see the "Don't buy gold!! Buy photo booths!!" quite catching on, but I remember a few of the previous crisis with the likes of the EU soverign debt and gold didn't rally at all when there was panic out there - highly dubious here. Buy photo booths!!!!!! Here's to some positive coverage tomorrow by SCSW. Have a good weekend all! | sphere25
01/7/2016 13:29 | I'm not advocating street warfare, lol. More like another crash we saw back in 08, we'll come trough it again as we always do and probably learn nothing from it. A bit like an episode of the Simpsons with Bart never learning that the socket just keeps giving you a shock. | celeritas
01/7/2016 13:13 | Smoky, Italiano Banks need recapitalising again. Deutche Bank which is huge and I mean huge has a derivative problem. We still have further contagion from Brexit to come, others will follow. Also I see today that the Austrian results have been overturned. We are living in a world full of debt with the can constantly being kicked down the road, something will happen I'm sure of that but when I have no idea. | celeritas
01/7/2016 12:56 | Care to elaborate ref EU implosion - guessing you mean further countries leave and proper break up? | smokybenchod
01/7/2016 12:48 | Useless piece of junk, I wouldn't mind a few oz of it. This is one of the best stocks with it's fundamentals but fundamentals won't matter when the EU implodes. Hopefully we can get back to new highs here before any of the above does happen. | celeritas
