Old price = ( NewPrice*19 - 508*7 )/12.

which means the NewPrice = (12 * OldPrice + (508*7)) / 19

Old price was about 875p therefore new price should be about 740p

On that logic you would think buying at 700-710p is a bargain.

Big drop at the bell, before the take up tomorrow.
Shorters were having fun or people selling to avoid the financing.

Morning

FWIW I added a few this morning. Looks a fair, if unexciting, price level to get in at to me IF there isn't a major market wobble(entirely possible, I concede). Hopefully should stand me in good stead over the medium to longer term. Fingers crossed and good fortune to all holders.

To all PHNX shareholders. I have today put a Limit sell order on my holding in PHNX of £10,to stop Shorter,s from loaning the shares from my broker, which they can do for a fee, without me or you knowing about.I suggest you do the same.

Can anyone tell me the amount in pence I need to add to the ex rights price to get a meaningful comparison with the pre rights one? Presumably it must be around 132p?

Hm, some arbitrage opportunity here a few minutes ago PHNN vs PHNX... didn't last very long!

Skinny - thanks. I found a different way - take the html info for PHNX in the header and substitute PHNN in the code. For some reason I thought I'd be barred from using html.

TDD have a deadline of end-Thursday 3 Nov to act. The dividend is certainly attractive and they've always had good delivery of cashflow forecasts.

Well I missed a trick there. Bought some ex rights shares when what I should have done is buy nil paid and coughed up the balance of 508p when due. Could have saved around 3p per share overall.

Arrived in AJ Bell (youinvest / Sippdeal) but valued them at 751p which has rather flattered my account. Although I apparently paid 233.25p for them. I seem to have the right number though.

steven: anyone can trade any of the listed shares.
If you buy the nil paid rights you will have to come up with 508p per nil paid on, or after, 8th November unless you then sell them again in the market prior that cut-off date.
Up until the call for cash the nil paid are effectively a geared trading opportunity.
Regards

EDIT: you will find the timetable here:
