01/5/2009 13:49 | How can I be so sure it's the bottom ? Because at the bottom, the last bulls think about throwing in the towel. | eriktherock
01/5/2009 13:30 | I love this bit, reminds me of the last Construction industry recession in 1990 when Directors were offering staff voluntary redundancy lol................. " Nonetheless, shareholders who wish to offer their shares for sale in the market prior to cancellation of the listing will continue to be able to do so." | eriktherock
01/5/2009 13:23 | I quite fancy the prospects of going private but look forward to reading the details. Sellers all out the way maybe. | eriktherock
29/4/2009 22:08 | Does look cheap if the St. Petes property right-down is it. The divi is 2.5% approx (better than Halifax) | eriktherock
24/4/2009 20:50 | Well this is a real shame. PGI have been listed for years. I suppose the company may well do better as a private company, but sad to see them disappear. Haven't held these for years, but kept a watch. | topvest
24/4/2009 16:16 | Not that it will help at all, but I will write to the company and to the advisors. | 4johnb
24/4/2009 13:56 | disgusting. | elmfield
24/4/2009 11:50 | 4Johnb I agree. I've just been wiped out by this disgusting behaviour. What happened to long term growth and protecting minorities? Shocking. | africahand2
24/4/2009 10:14 | Roditi has destroyed, in one fell swoop, the reputation he has built over a lifetime of working as an investor. Why he has done this, and why he has effectively waved the white flag is beyond me. Many investors in PGI came on board due to his presence. I also have to say that I am disgusted with the independent board. Surely they have a duty of care to the minorities. | 4johnb
24/4/2009 08:05 | here here! | elmfield
24/4/2009 08:02 | Usual story...hit small holders where it hurts ! Thats the problem in building a position with little liquidity and lack of interest ...best of luck. | jotoha2
23/4/2009 20:29 | I'm not planning to sell until knowing the full details, there is no point selling now as some investors will get scared and sell way to low tomorrow... And the delisting won't happen overnight so let's sit tight and wait :) The other option is to snap more stock at rock bottom prices :) | traderinthemaking
23/4/2009 19:52 | TITM, One thing to do is to not worry about it. Unless you want to be part of the private Company and find your holding pretty much illiquid, then you may as well sell in the market whilst there is the opportunity. No rush though as we're pretty much at a bottom in terms of market capitalization ( which, of course, is why this action is being taken now) so maybe wait on the details or get 8.25p in the morning. Oh, and remember, the current year has started well, and rainfall in Southern Africa has been more or less normal. Tea prices appear to have stabilised at levels well above the average of the past five years. We are also benefiting from the strength of the US dollar, with all our overseas earnings denominated in that currency or currencies pegged to it. If these factors continue, we should produce a satisfactory result in 2009. | eriktherock
23/4/2009 19:38 | But if you are not a major shareholder, should you expect the share price to tumble at opening or can the share price still go up? That's what is puzzling me as the results did not look to bad to me :-/ I also see the point for a major shareholders but personally I was having a *small-ish* position so I don't know what to do next... | traderinthemaking
23/4/2009 19:36 | What can be said in regards to all those negotiated trades @ 8.25p in 100k & 250k blocks over recent weeks, hmm. There'll be some small holder selling tomorrow but will they get 8.25p ? | eriktherock
23/4/2009 19:22 | Makes sense for the major shareholders I suppose. I have no problem with it and look forward to receiving the detail. Divi maintained. I love this bit though > The directors of the Company have explored the possibility of the Company or the directors offering to acquire the shares of members who would not wish to continue to hold them after the cancellation of the listing but, as a result of a number of regulatory requirements, the cost of doing so would have been prohibitively high to the Company. Nonetheless, shareholders who wish to offer their shares for sale in the market prior to cancellation of the listing will continue to be able to do so. | eriktherock
23/4/2009 19:00 | erm, I was not expecting the proposed cancellation of listing of the ordinary shares on the Official List.... What do you make of it? TITM puzzled... | traderinthemaking
22/4/2009 17:26 | Mate, I used to be in contact with Steve Wayne when he was CEO. He's advised me that he'll be here for the long haul and will make the Company great, knows all the major shareholders and they're not sellers etc. Best just to pray and go with what gives you peace mate. | eriktherock
22/4/2009 17:21 | Hi Erik, If you get a chance to speak to Steve Wayne, would you mind sharing the update? Thanks TITM | traderinthemaking
22/4/2009 16:29 | It's not as though I can speak to Steve Wayne and ask for an update on results :-( | eriktherock
20/4/2009 15:14 | No longer can you get any volume @ 8.75p unless by negotiation lol. | eriktherock
20/4/2009 14:14 | Monday a good day to release good results, Friday a good day to release bad results. | eriktherock
