17/10/2016 14:35 | If I didn't know better I would hazard a guess that there is some fairly active stake building going on here with the share price being manipulated to allow it to happen on the QT - but that wouldn't be allowed, would it? WDIK. Time will tell I suppose. DL | davidlloyd

17/10/2016 12:06 | MOSCOW. August 22 (Interfax) - The Russian Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has cleared Petropavlovsk plc to buy 100% of LLC Amur Zoloto, an established gold company with production and development assets in the Khabarovsk region in the Far East of Russia. The FAS said it had considered a request from Petropavlovsk and deemed that the deal would not restrict competition. Petropavlovsk said in April that it had agreed to buy Amur Zoloto in a deal worth $144 million from firms controlled by Musa Bazhayev, and that it would pay for the acquisition with its own shares; Petropavlovsk will also consolidate Amur Zoloto's net debt in the amount of $16 million. As a result, Bazhayev's companies would get a 30.3% stake in Petropavlovsk. Later it emerged that Viktor Vekselberg's Renova Group, which is currently the largest shareholder of gold miner Petropavlovsk, might become a third party in the deal between Petropavlovsk and companies controlled Bazhayev. Along with acquiring Amur Zoloto from Bazhayev-controlled companies, Petropavlovsk might buy Zoloto Kamchatki (Kamchatka Gold), which is owned by Renova, Petropavlovsk said in a press release in June. Kamchatka Gold is the largest gold producer in Kamchatka Territory and one of the top 20 gold miners in Russia. The company holds nine licenses to develop hardrock gold deposits in Kamchatka with a combined resource base of 12 million ounces (over 375 tonnes) of gold. Petropavlovsk is developing gold deposits in Amur Region - Pokrovsky, Pioneer, Malomir and Albyn. Vekselberg-controlle | popeye888
17/10/2016 11:14 | Renova - via it's 483,992,987 / 14.764% holding and via the 90,068,021 / 2.7448% Lamesa/Polo holding (which Renova also ultimately controls) - currently controls (that we know of) 17.5088% of POG. | grbaker
17/10/2016 11:06 | Lamesa / Polo are part of the Renova Group. Renova have been building a significant stake for some time. At present their ultimate goal remains unclear. The total number/percentage of shares controlled by Renova is given within the table in the header. They are the largest shareholder in POG. | grbaker

14/10/2016 12:03 | Institutional investors coming now is a very good sign indeed :))) maybe they are connected to someone in the know!!Bullish signals here and I knew there was a big buy being filled and that's why the share price has been rising the last few days even with more sells than buys!!8p beckons I reckon guys :)) | laptop15
14/10/2016 11:04 | Would explain decent Strength, puts more shares in string hands ahead of 'bags of good news' | tsmith2

14/10/2016 10:12 | chugging along nicely....who are these new shareholders just announced, anyone know? | qs99
13/10/2016 17:54 | the candles in the above chart seem to indicate more 'buys' than 'sells' so its probably all part of the 'dark arts' which is the stockmarket. A year ago the POG share price peaked in the first week in October then fell away until after Christmas. Lets hope that this year's scenario is different | tymedici
13/10/2016 17:28 | Strange behaviour here as there seemed to be loads of sells and the share price rose, what's all that about? Do the MM's know something good is coming? Unusual for the share price not to fall with so many sells.....or is there a huge buy order lined up??I'm not complaining but just thought it seemed strange....lol...the day before was similar too. | laptop15
13/10/2016 10:47 | Nice to see us back over the 100 day moving average. There must be lots of holders who need significantly higher prices to even break even here... Roll on the news on the deals. Will POG be going it alone on the POX start-up costs? How much will they offer/pay for the other deals? (And, if we can all remember that far back, will General Nice ever cough up what they owe to IRC? Although I'm not expecting any news on that front any time soon). GLA, NIAI and please DYOR. | grbaker
13/10/2016 08:53 | POG has had loads of false breakouts over the last few months, who knows. However, volume has been high for 2 weeks now, and with bank negotiation, Pox, and acquisition news on the way soon : - I am not selling for a potential fall back - there has to be a rerate here IMO | wallywoo
13/10/2016 08:48 | Volume uptick | tsmith2
13/10/2016 08:46 | Agreed. Looking forward to these promised updates before end of OCt. DYOR | qs99 |
