06/10/2014 18:26 | A lot on Bloomberg about the possibility of falling international oil prices mostly due to the shale production boom in the USA, and SAUDI contemplating slashing the price of oil in order to gain more market share.... !!! How much of a threat if any would a decline in the price of oil affect PTR going forward.....????? Any thoughts guys ??? | crudde99
06/10/2014 16:08 | Rockin Robin, i forgot to mention that Caledonianman1, who eventually got a profit on UEN, unlike you, sends his love, lol | happyman7
06/10/2014 11:22 | Happy(sad)man7,Oh dear..I think you really need to... 'get a life'. | rockin robin
04/10/2014 16:24 | Still nice to see U.E.N getting a boost. However poor old PTR still firmly stuck in the Siberian mud......Perhaps PTR will get their turn in time guys.. GLA. | crudde99
04/10/2014 10:21 | I am not ante PTR, but just to let you be aware, this Rockin Robin is not to be trusted. He was a holder for UEN for years. In fact he was a SUPERBULL of the Management, at one time. He suddenly changed his opinion and sold his UEN shares. And now he slags them off, quiet a turn coat. After he sells here, he will most likely come back to stick the knife in, just as he has done at UEN. Bitter and twisted come to mind. Now, if only he had bought a large chunk of UEN on Wednesday at 3.125p offer, he could have sold, at one time, for 12p on Friday, what do you say, Robin, also known as "brownnosepants" on the UEN bb, here is a sample posting from his UEN day's Rockin Robin 5 Oct'12 - 07:45 - 57659 of 67132 0 0 Lots of encouraging good News around UEN atm: Shipment of oil, 8 new wells Debt repayment Asset return They may sell an Asset They may get bought out Amngr drilling results due Investment replacing old plant on-site. Etc etc Now we understand UEN is looking forward to tax reductions to aid investment in a development area.!!!! A major extra!!! Any one of those points might be considered very good News and enough to stimulate the share price But the share price is still under pressure!!!! The only logical conclusion, if foul-play is ruled out, is that UEN has a large seller!!!! Is this large seller, who presumably has held through recent times, NOW selling. 'Really struggling to 'buy that'. My view is we are being 'groomed', investors just aren't that generous to hold 'through thin' and then sell in pending 'good times'. Let's hope there is some clarity soon. Personally holding for better times. C'on. | happyman7
03/10/2014 19:36 | UEN have an apathetic BOD, who choose not to communicate. Snap.PTR have farmed out 50% to generate at drill fund. UEN have borrowed money to stay afloat this year - dilution or a loan/pledging of assets will be required. No snap.PTR utilises a successful drill team. UEN use a dodgy black & decker, with a fish-finger for a drill-bit. No snap.UEN's recent re-rate could be very handy for PTR. We have Seismic data planned, and News due any day. Snap. | rockin robin
03/10/2014 18:16 | Rockin .. Based on the closing prices and accounting for debts and cash PTRs P2 reserves are valued at $ .53 per barrel V UEN is valued at $ .80 Not forgetting UEN has a disputed $ 41.6 million claim against them. So Petroneft are cheaper and have a lot more going for them.. | dbarr0n
03/10/2014 15:05 | Yep. That is what you call 'free-fall'. | rockin robin
03/10/2014 14:24 | Rockin .. UEN down to $ 42million. | dbarr0n
03/10/2014 13:57 | DbYou may want to 'redo' the Mkt Cap figures. Your post is an hour old.UEN's share price has gained 30% since then. | rockin robin
03/10/2014 13:19 | I dont agree... PTR market cap = $ 62.7 million v UEN $ 49 million PTR is producing 1000 bopd v UEN 1890 bopd PTR has larger 2P reserves 72 million barrels v UEN 46 million barrels PTR has larger P2 fNI undiscounted = $871 million v UEN $720 million PTR has larger P3 + P4 reserves approx 300 million barrels v UEN 4.4 million barrels.. PTR has the equivalent of 32.5 million cash in bank v UEN 24.5 million. PTR has liabilities of approx $ 8 million v UEN $ 21 million. | dbarr0n
03/10/2014 13:08 | sorry, won't do it again | lukead
03/10/2014 12:31 | in fairness , Uen is the most relevant share to PTR. same nominal price recently, same current production @ circa 2000 bopd , similar reserves and potential increases, same country ,both hold two license areas , both have large shareholders wrestling for control , both have been recently restructured to clear debt. both have infrastructure up and ready. difference is that PTR has lower cost onshore production not offshore and a big partner. | surfer2
03/10/2014 12:14 | Lukhead - Please stick to the UEN or other threads please. I'm sure that if there is anyone who is enticed to look, they will do that now having read your posts above. Thanks, El1te | el1te
03/10/2014 12:14 | luke - would you mind confining all this o/t to the relevant threads please, | steelwatch
03/10/2014 12:12 | UEN, still strong, 148% yesterday, nearly 30% today | lukead
03/10/2014 11:23 | UEN share price is looking strong, again | lukead
03/10/2014 11:06 | UEN has the extra complication in that one shareholder (Adler) owns 44% of the company and that is probably dangerous for minority shareholders. | rcturner2
03/10/2014 10:49 | Posts: re UEN (URALS ENERGY) Off Topic Opinion: Price: 7.25 IToday 10:44 With a total value of undiscounted reserves of $838 million dollars it does make you wonder how this can have a market cap of only £18 million. Something is wrong. IMO it should be ten times that....but would be happy with just double. Not much to ask really. It it doubles to £36,000 million it would still be worth less than of PTR...which has no where near these values..cant stay at this market cap for long, had a nice jump but it should jump more and if it doubles again it is still cheaper than PTR..the values imho are way off still...that is not ramping just a conservative voice saying its fair that this goes a lot higher.. UEN IS RIPE FOR A TAKE OVER WELL IN EXCESS OF THE 12.25P POTENTIAL OFFER OF LAST YEAR | lukead
03/10/2014 07:43 | UEN should be interesting today and going forward.Reserves increased massively yesterday, but they are currently borrowing money to stay solvent. A dilution or money-raising exercise will be needed to fund any drilling, and UEN's 'in house' team's drilling history is nothing short of appalling. | rockin robin
02/10/2014 17:05 | Thanks RC - I seem to recall something like that said before as UEN has been a bigger basket case than we have been. Cheers | chris cat
02/10/2014 15:51 | uen may at least get people thinking about PTR | currypasty
02/10/2014 13:40 | chris - even after the rise today, UEN is on a pretty low P2 rating, much lower than PTR, so a read across is better for UEN than PTR! | rcturner2
02/10/2014 13:28 | As we are often compared to UEN - Is anybody of the clever chaps - DB, Steel etc. able to do a quick read across of their reserves update today and how that could impact or compares to us. Seems to have moved their share price a good bit today. | chris cat |
