I'm out of Petrofac. Clearing out my non-core and lower quality investments. Made a loss on this one before dividends received. I'm very bearish on oil and gas and so this isn't for me, particularly given its oil and gas combined with the deadly art of construction. Shouldn't have purchased in the first place.

According to VectorVest system, On NYSE the strongest Industry Group is Petroleum (Drilling) of 19 companies listed, 17 are rated ‘Buy’.
On LSE the best Industry Group is Petroleum (machinery/equipment) with 7 of 8 rated a ‘Buy’.
PFC Is not top of the list on their rating, but I bought because I think it shows more chance of growth.
The List is GMS, POS, PRES, WEIR, LAM, PFC, TPG, and NTQ is rated ‘hold’

Yeah, current results are fine I guess the big issue is the pretty dramatic drop in the size of the order book.
I would still take PFC any day over the inexplicably priced Wood group but equally I am not sure that I would want to be in any of them at the moment.

Surprisingly solid results here for what was conceivably the worst year for the oil services industry for decades.

Just seen that my limit order of 800 got filled this morning.
Sentiment is still pretty dire and deservedly so but PFC is in a pretty decent place with a covered 5.5% divi.

Entirely different co. to AMFW, far stronger balance sheet, larger order book, and different field of expertise than AMEC!
