09/12/2008 12:33 | 'November 2008, publication of Annual Report' (Petmin website). So, er.....where is it ? | lobby ludd
28/11/2008 10:08 | Company's website says Annual Report will be published 'in November 2008' - so where is it ? (I assume that it isn't going to appear over the weekend). 5 months + to produce the Annual Report to shaeholders isn' good enough. | lobby ludd
27/11/2008 17:22 | matt123d any thoughts on why rise in Joburg I presume over here up 1p on that lift thanks | vino
27/11/2008 14:44 | Finally above 200 in Johannesburg on above average volume. | matt123d
21/11/2008 15:45 | The MMs are really punishing this stock, normally after such large buys this stock would have soared. Why are they keeping it down, and why such big buys in South Africa? Perhaps I should top up again? | kayaks
21/11/2008 12:35 | Thanks matt thats good to know. They get such little volume over here recently and seem such a sound stock. Weird. | eric76
21/11/2008 11:40 | Some very large volume going through over in Johannesburg, over 4.5m so far. | matt123d
10/11/2008 12:07 | Good to see a few trades today I was beginning to think that this ones being kept a secret from the market. Shame with them being such a decent prospect amongst the miners they're actually a fav play of mine for the medium term as I believe once they start to move there'll be no stopping them. | eric76
06/11/2008 19:04 | Market makers move the price accordingly hence the fall today. | matt123d
06/11/2008 15:45 | eric76, I am not sure how trading on the JSE effects us on the LSE? | acamas
06/11/2008 15:24 | I'm more puzzled by the ridiculous drop in the share price over the last couple of days. MM's seem to love to mark this one down whether its traded or not and it sure brings out the small sellers. | eric76
04/11/2008 10:01 | Is anybody else puzzled by the fact that the Veremo JV with Kermas provides Petmin from April 2011 with a R65 million yearly cash dividend for a period of 3 years ie a total of R195 million. What possible advantage would Kermas gain from this JV. I am not complaining but it seems strange. Other forces at work? There is also a note that the refining of Titanium Dioxide from the Veremo pig iron slag has not been included in the resources estimates for Veremo. At the moment TD sells for $2200-2600 per tonne on the back of tight supply and strong demand from the coatings and polymer sectors. | kayaks
04/11/2008 08:58 | I must like this stock I saw a seller and was totally shocked. lol | eric76
03/11/2008 13:55 | Nice volumne today too - 89,000 shares at mo. | lobby ludd
03/11/2008 10:08 | Perhaps mainly due to the Numis buy recommendation. I think that Kermas the company with Danko Konchar as chairman may be looking at a closer connection with PTMN apart from the Veremo JV. Danko Konchar said in Sept 2006 that Kermas could list on the LSE and JSE within the next two years, in order to raise funds it needed for an expansion program. It may just take over PTMN. Kermas is about as big as Xtrata relatively speaking. | kayaks
03/11/2008 10:07 | Undervalued according to their broker and mining stocks seem popular at the mo. Nice to see some value beginning to be recognised in the stock though. | eric76
03/11/2008 09:55 | any reason for rise? poppadomonline | poppadomonlinedotcom
31/10/2008 17:18 | Today broker Numis repeated its "buy" recommendation stating that Petmin is immune to lower commodity prices, it also kept its 48 pence price target. Numis says prices have been locked in for all Petmin's 2009 volumes and it is upgrading Petmin's Rand based earnings figure. Numis also states that it expects Petmin's net cash position to incease during 2009 and 2010, believing it's well positioned to weather any downturn in commodity prices, while expecting earnings to remain robust. So matt123d good move, your buy and another 2 buys totalling 26000 shares moved the share price up 16.28%. Good luck to all holders. | kayaks
31/10/2008 09:36 | Taken a first small position here at 12p. | matt123d
24/10/2008 11:37 | Kayaks - thanks for that - (annual report due in about 2 weeks). | lobby ludd
22/10/2008 16:02 | Kermas, the company who together with Petmin owns Veremo has announced today that it is buying the remaining 56.2% of ferrochrome producer Mogale Alloys (estimated production 150,000 metric tons) for R1.86 billion. Kermas already owns Samancor (over 1 million metric tons) and is the biggest producer of ferrochrome after Xstrata (2.2 million metric tons) . These two producers would provide Kermas with 1,15 million metric tons of ferrochrome per year. Here we have a match made in heaven, Veremo produces the iron ore ,Petmin the anthracite and Kermas the ferrochrome and these are all prime exportable commodities. Why would anyone in their right minds want to sell Petmin shares? With a partner like Kermas with obvious deep pockets. Oh and have I forgot to mention the R200 million in the bank. Some nice buys today on that news. | kayaks |
