Why is PAYS being targeted?? I mean I can understand shorters shorting if the company is dodgy or the price of Gold is falling or the results had a profit warning.....But just look at that last update....nada! After 10years I still struggle with this game, it's crazy!

Ref 4508 - Exactly my thought Malcolmmm. Suspect they're trying to be on the front foot and pin back any increased tide of buys after the announcement. Hopefully short lived and a sharp rebound to follow. Question is just when - tomorrow or in a few weeks...

Well December 31 is looming so I very much expect the snorters will be banking the majority of profits pre year end. Why take the risk of a stoning set of results on 8th January? And of course the managers need to keep their clients happy....

Another of my shares ,a builder were forced down by heavy shorts but have risen 20% from lows in 3 days which is pleasing. The shorters must be taking some heavy hits.I think the same will happen here

I expect the shorters didn't like the chairmans buy.It will be interesting to see if they upped their shorts as the share price fell soon afterwards.

Interesting to see PAYS is now down 4.1% compared to price at 1 Jan 16. Now tell me what I'm missing here! Since 1 Jan we've had acquisitions, upgraded earnings forecasts, Chairman buys, housekeeping back to the IOM for the CEO, and nearly 12 months profits in the bag with debt heavily reduced..........all very frustrating!

Well, not quite.
What it roughly means is that there are no undisclosed material facts or news of which the Board is or should be aware.
However, unpredictable (from the bod's pov) events are always possible at any time - perhaps tomorrow - which may constitute critical news. Such events range from the HQ burning down to an unsolicited t/o bid, the CEO suffering a heart attack etc.

Of course, the whole area of insider knowledge has so many shades of grey that a precise definition is impossible - e.g. a member of the board being seen in a certain location or travelling to a certain destination can lead to intelligent speculation of possibilities or probabilities. If correct, is that insider knowledge or a lucky guess?

Must be all those investors that bought big on the guaranteed partnership between IBM and Paysafe that was going to make the share price rocket selling all their holdings.

Bloody fickle these buy on the rumour merchants sell on the news.

Still the best part of 40 grand. He didn't have to buy so he clearly thinks he will make some money from these levels as do I.

There must still be a considerable downward pressure if after a director buys and the price still drops.

Well the news is positive ,the chairman couldn't have stated it more clearly.As said perhaps more directors will buy to counteract the shorts
