08/2/2015 10:58 | Hi all, Just looked in, flwg belated read of SCSW letter. No local insight but CAKE may do well in difficult economic times as a 'small affordable treat/luxury'. Patisseries are a growing phenomenon in Spain and Portugal......;-< ATB | extrader
05/2/2015 20:33 | As cyman says, there could be a retraction perhaps Friday and SCSW may not add at the present price but the management namely Luke Johnson of Pizza Express fame and a former investment analyst must be well respected and they are growing, so IMO a good long term hold, most people love freshly baked cakes 🎂 | malcolmmm
04/2/2015 10:32 | Looking delicious | opodio
03/2/2015 21:44 | They said they would if it didn't run away. The mm's have lobbed 30p on the price since the print and widened the spread from 6p to close to 9Clearly the sellers are waiting in the shadows to offload a decent chuck to those blindly following tips. It's a great company for sure, but at the right price. | cyman
03/2/2015 08:26 | Yes just a snippet of a positive write up, they say that they are adding CAKE to their new portfolio this month | malcolmmm
02/2/2015 21:56 | MalcolmExcellent recital of the swsc article | cyman
02/2/2015 20:19 | Turnover has ballooned from £40.5m in the year to September 2011 to £76.6m last year, while pretax profit has more than doubled from £4.9m to £11.3m. For the current year, Investec forecasts £14.2m pretax/eps 11p, lifting to £16.7m/12.9p next year. The bad news is the shares are not cheap but neither are others like Greggs or SSP, which trade on 25-30x. Patisserie is growing faster and plans to open 20 stores a year and says ultimately there is scope to add around 250. We wouldn’t be surprised if by continuing the Pizza Express model the cakes ultimately end up on supermarket shelves. | malcolmmm
02/2/2015 14:38 | MelodyThe valuations in the sector are all at the high end. Plus many will be invested here because of the management team. It's a promising simple business and although I am not in yet, it is high on my watchlistPlus i happen to know that it will be tipped on 7th Feb so short term there is a spike coming | cyman
02/2/2015 13:14 | I like the business but at a PE of 27 I am finding the valuation rich! Comments? | melody9999
