09/11/2011 09:43 | When do we find out if deal is going through ? | antondickson
02/11/2011 08:10 | The Greeks and Italians, like the rest of us, still have to eat, they still need shelter in the winter and will still need energy. Choose stocks wisely taking account those things and you should be all right. | darias
01/11/2011 21:30 | Thanks for your comment, for what it's worth I have sold out all my holdings today :0( Sick of the Greek and Italians and decided to watch from the sideline a bit. | boelhoub
01/11/2011 17:23 | I have not yet sold all of my shares. Does anyone know the current position of Herald on the `accepted offer`? | harrytrad3
01/11/2011 08:53 | Boelhoub Look at it rationally the prospect of going private has been on the table since mid August with nobody new showing over 3% holdings since that date therefore the chance of a counter offer is less than 1% in my view. You will receive 9p a share when the deal is all done at this time you can sell for 8.75 with dealing costs. There will be no dealing costs when the deal is done. Even now with the high threshold of 75% before going private there is a very high risk that the deal will not go through. The privatised company have to find the stake money to do the buy out. The brinkmanship and delays seem to me to suggest that this money is hard to find in this environment. It is now 10 days into the 28 days before the offer has to be made yet there has been no notification of completion. The club agreed to sell their holding and buy more SXX. | darias
01/11/2011 00:03 | is it still possible to trade these? | learntlesson
31/10/2011 20:54 | Had a look at previous comments, have small holding with on-line stock account. Am I right in thinking that I will receive the 9p when deal is all done? And is there at this stage any change of a counter offer? | boelhoub
31/10/2011 17:33 | Sold mine on Friday. Bought Patsystems! Deep joy! | techno20
31/10/2011 09:17 | Sold 114k Friday.. bought Sync. | the heed
28/10/2011 22:07 | Thanks Darias, this thread has been helpful. I sold mine this morning and put some of it in Cheerful Scouts, CLS. GLA | mel_d1
28/10/2011 17:22 | James and Darius thank you kindly for your most helpful comments. I do hold the Certificate, so I guess all I need to do is hold on and hope the deal materialises. Many thanks, Vic. | vicandjane
28/10/2011 08:18 | If you hold the certs when the offer is made they will write to you and you can sell then without charge. If you dont want to sell you can hold onto the shares. The offer remains conditional until the offerers have control of 75% of the share. A high total usually it is 50%+1. This is when the company goes private. If they receive 90% acceptances you have no choice your shares will be bought and cancelled and you will receive a cheque in the post. I sold mine yesterday in the market and bought SXX with the proceeds | darias
28/10/2011 08:12 | Vic not too sure what happens now...but my small holding is with ii and I assume that I will get the credit into my account without me doing anything. If you hold the certs then, from my little bit of experience, "they" should send you a cheque for your holding. You say you no longer have a "share account" so I assume you must hold the certs. Hope that is of some help. Maybe someone else with more experience could help you further. If you sell the shares yourself then you will have dealing charges to pay. So I would wait and see if you get any more help. | 666james
27/10/2011 18:13 | Can anybody tell me what will happen now? I have a modest holding of Intelligent Enviroments shares about 12.5K. I no longer have a share account so will my shares automatically be purchased at the offer price, or do I have to sell them via a stock broking company? Thank you for any sound advice. Vic. | vicandjane
26/10/2011 18:08 | looks like the blackcurrant may be winning... see latest rns ..still you can't win all the time. Next one please. | 666james
25/10/2011 07:20 | That is the million dollar question. They had 28 days from Friday to post the offer. I have told members that I expect settlement within 6 weeks. I anticipate that we will have a date in the offer document. | darias
24/10/2011 16:29 | what is the deal date when we get credited into accounts | bachellor
24/10/2011 08:17 | Good Morning all , just sold at 8.67 approx , thank for your help and gl. | abbey8
22/10/2011 23:24 | Darius, I averaged down most recently on Tuesday. I expect a modest gain. My gripe is more a lament for the way that IEN has been swiped. I think Techno`s comment of following the Herald IT lead a good one if one intends to stay invested as a small holder of AIM listed shares. I think it folly to blindly invest in such a company because one likes its product. On the subject of Herald I wonder how it has reacted to the offer. | harrytrad3
22/10/2011 11:10 | Sorry to spoil the outpouring of negative sentiment, but I'm with Darius. The reality of the situation was that only 3 months back PSQ was languishing at 4.5p. Cassis has taken his opportunity and good luck to him in my book. People who bought at the low point have doubled their money, mainly thanks to Herald. Others who bought higher up have dramatically reduced their losses. Happy days! Move on to the next opportunity. There remain plenty of undervalued technology stocks out there. My money's on Pilat Media to be taken out soon. Idox is worth a look too. No harm in also looking at Heralds portfolio. They get things right far more than the majority and you can be sure that as with PSQ and OSG they will fight on shareholders behalf for value. Techno | techno20
22/10/2011 09:28 | Thank you Darias , I bought at 6.9 so i might end up even , the next one is inland INL.Gla | abbey8
22/10/2011 09:24 | Harrytrad. You can grumble as much as you like but the share price of Documetric has never been over 10p. On that basis the offer is fair. You were unlucky in that you bought at a high with regard to IEN however those shares were revalued and you received 1.18 shares in Documetric and therefore the price of your shares that you paid was equivalent to 11.44. It is true that you have lost money however if you had faith in the board, the company and the group there was ample opportunity, even up to yesterday, to get your average price down. Buying a share is placing a bet there will be winners and losers. | darias
22/10/2011 09:10 | The offer price on Monday would be 9p however the bid price is likely to be around 8.5p perhaps less if there are many sellers. In which case Abbey you would lose £100 by selling on Monday and if you waited around a month or so you would get your £1800. You will also have to pay dealing costs on Monday which you wont if you wait. You pays your money and you take your choice. | darias
22/10/2011 08:41 | Thank you and gla. | abbey8 |
