9 Post retirement benefits

The Group provides employee benefits under various arrangements, including through defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans, the details of which are disclosed in the 2014 Annual Report and Accounts. At the interim balance sheet date the major assumptions used in assessing the defined benefit pension scheme liability have been reviewed and updated based on a roll-forward of the last formal actuarial valuation, which was carried out as at 5 April 2012.

The following changes in estimate have been applied to the IAS19 valuation as at 30 June 2015:

Very interesting FT article Quantum Dot market to worth $8.2bn by 2023.

They say analysts expect Nanoco to receive its first royalty revenue in February 2016 rather than this month. It will receive $250m from the first $1bn of sales, with a flat rate of roughly 12.5 per cent plus a series of 20 $6.25m milestones on each successive $50m of sales achieved, according to Stifel, a US broker.

Something going on.Inition now non core. Could it be sold for a fat fee?Market cap is low. They indicate core business is now profitable. Also clean slate for new board with a lot of cost removed.The buys by ex chairman and a rival who no doubt understand the business give some confidence.
