Trading update in 3 weeks or so.

I wonder if PEL picked any additional urgent work from the Coronation street tour following recent storm damage? It looks as if its cancelled in Glasgow up to the 17th October, on ticketmaster

Hi PJ1, the chart shows a Golden Cross that led to the development of a cup or bowl. The pattern confirmed, but the price hit overhead resistance and a throwback occured. Assuming that the retrace stays above 50%, the pattern could become a Cup with Handle. The rising wedge, outlined in black has an apex in the middle of October, around the 17th, which often represents a turn in the price. A larger falling wedge concludes around January 9th. The minimum target from the bowl pattern is currently 3.37

The share price could find support on the 50sma, where it is now, or around the flag that formed just below 2.

Is that based on technicals savvy?

Like most small companies it drifts with no news flow, although we cannot complain at the RNS's so far this year imo. So PEL still attracts some 'hot' money which easily gets bored and moves on.

As good as the end of Q3 so we should get (via Q&A?)trading update by end October. Whilst keeping an open mind I'd be really surprised if JD's Director buying wasn't a precursor to positive news in the next few months. Possibly sooner if that spare capacity gets filled?

More pull backs on low volume. My target is a minimum of 3.5 here after the major director buys

Yes. The drop is on tiny trades !

It looks as if the shares are tighter held than for 18 months or so, as the smallest trades now have an adverse impact on the share price, both ways.

Agreed. For me this puts Mark Pyrah in a very good light. Humble enough to know when somebody elses expertise more suitable for CEO position. But still heavily involved....just doesn't have to deal with people like PJ and me!!

The 'complaints' about a lack of RNS's has certainly been put to bed so far this year!!

Its a challenge and opportunity every Manager of people faces especially in growing small Companies, but is never easy to accept. One day you sit down and interview a 'job' applicant, and you realise they can probably do the job better than yourself. :-0

The correct decision off course is to do what is best for the Company and recruit the best people, and maximise individual strengths into target areas. How many would/ do though?

Paragon Entertainment Limited (AIM: PEL), the attractions design, production and fit-out business, is pleased to announce that it has appointed John Dobson, currently Chief Operating Officer, to the role of Chief Executive Officer.

Mark Pyrah, current Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Paragon will move into the role of Development Director.

Commenting on the appointment, Mark Taylor, Executive Chairman of Paragon Entertainment said:

"As we have become increasingly confident about the sustainability of Paragon's growth, the board has decided that it would be wise to further strengthen management for the future. John Dobson is ideally positioned to lead management best practice and release Mark Pyrah to focus on his passion and propensity for sales and business development."

playful-Many thanks for the nomination, honest the cheque is in the post. Things are definitely looking up recently. King John Bob from Namibia has asked me to help with some short term cash flow issues as well.

Loyalty? Unsure I'd use that word. I'm here to make money like everyone else at the end of the day, although maybe because I had 15 odd years in manufacturing its an unknown psychological bond? (it was also very 'odd' I survived in manufacturing for 15 years lol). Luck always plays a part.....

I also hope I've never come across as 'ramping' the Co? I try to say it as I see it at the time. It will be interesting to see the overheads going forward and as janeanne points out there is Risk from some geographical areas. However, I feel more confident in PEL now than ever before. Investors have to draw their own conclusions though. One of the advantages of attending any AGM's and meeting Directors (not just PEL) is that you can try and glean what they are not telling you (easier said than done) and read all important body language.

Anyway let me get back to dreaming about King John Bob's hidden fortunes and PEL >4p.

They do make an effort if you attend the AGM and you certainly feel appreciated, so I’d recommend attendance.

Still think PJ should be NED, if loyalty counts for anything he has it in spades…

Following the AGM on 21st July there was a site tour and it was mentioned then so if you look back just after that you should find my report. They actually said capacity was £13/14m but the key question is the ''mix'', the balance between carpentry work and the more specialist modelling/ electronics for example etc.

Looks as if there is 2 years hard graft coming to fruition here. DHX media contracted with PEL FOR 'in the Night Garden' back in July 2014

janeanne- you asked for it1 lol

Also fits with the 'repeatable' project strategy I suspect. So once the groundwork, prototype and first project is complete, Margins improve on the follow up projects.

I had missed last month’s resignation announcement so they are probably OK.

Surprised to see P.H go as they go back a long way together.
