Hey Carrr595, you've had a shocking introduction to posting on ADVFN. What a lot of twaddle you talk. Your best was when you said PANR couldn't get over 70p when it was at 75p. And then there's today...trying to put down PANR in a rather obvious trolling way whilst at the same time bigging up 88e when 88e is presently suffering a double digit fall. Appreciate you're new to this and you'd like to make your mark as a PANR doubter in the hope your postings will somehow boost 88e's share price But it's your pleas for recognition that are so painful to read. Mind you, I suppose we all want the world to recognise we exist and have value as a person. I get that. The problem is, others on here get it too so you're rather wasting your time on the old tippy tappy. You're a poor man's ngms. I'm embarrassed for you.

I wouldn't venture a date due to all the unknowns. My wife no longer asks how long I'll be gone when I go to rig :)I suspect it will be quicker than Talitha due to shallower depth and staying out of bad hole section above Kuparuk.

No. I don’t believe today’s move is PANR specific. Markets, driven by NASDAQ, are tumbling everywhere. In this risk-off scenario nothing is going to shoot up without substantive new news.

Sentiment to PANR is very low, if this was 88E the share price would have risen atleast 10% for the next few days yet PANR are unable to maintain any rise.

The results will need to be spectacular to get this past 78p.

Quite a bit of selling into the strength. I hope the Yanks get a bit more excited over the news than us. I guess we all knew it was coming and the market has reacted accordingly.

Looks to me that the Upper BFF isn't being tested at Talitha

I'd also estimate TD around mid Feb as you have to remember there will be trips in and trips out to run and set casing etc. so you cannot just extrapolate the current rate.

Penetration rate generally slows with depth. Heavier more viscous mud to sweep cuttings and for pressure control plus older tighter rock with depth. Also rate depends on bit, hole deviation and any mechanical issues, surface and intermediate casing strings run and cemented.

Talitha had spud on 13th Jan and reached TD 10,452ft on 15th Feb.

TW had spud on 21st Jan and TD is estimated at 9,200ft, so presumably we're looking at around mid-Feb again.

Given they've drilled at 937 feet a day for the first two days then maintaining that rate TD would be reached about ten days from spud. Having said that I guess the initial feet of tundra would be like a hot knife through butter?

Two Qs:

1 - What is the estimated drilling time to reach TD at TW? That's a lot drilled already.

2 - Wasn't crystal clear from the wording to me, but I take it they are still intending to test the upper BFF at Talitha?

"Testing operations commenced over the weekend and will start from the lowest formation, the Lower Basin Floor Fan, before proceeding sequentially to the two shallower Slope Fans (which will be tested together) and the Shelf Margin Deltaic horizons".

Pantheon Resources (PANR) – Corporate – Spudding of Theta West #1 and Operations Update

Pantheon Resources announced that it has commenced drilling the Theta West #1 well, which has now drilled to a depth of 1,874 feet – target depth is circa 9,200 feet. The well is targeting i) the Upper Basin Floor Fan and ii) the Lower Basin floor fan, both of which are referred to as Theta West. Theta West has a combined best estimate success-case recoverable resource of 1.4 billion barrels of oil. 

The company also announced that testing operations at the Talitha #A well have begun. Testing will start in the Lower Basin Floor Fan before moving upwards. The next step in the operations will be to frack the Lower Basin Floor Fan after which a coiled tubing unit will undertake flow testing. 

The company has also reminded interested parties that it will be hosting an investor webinar this evening at 5pm GMT. Registration details are below.

This is clearly a very exciting period for Pantheon Resources as the company’s drilling and testing programme stands to unlock the latent value of a considerable resource base – as a reminder, the all in combined recoverable resource base under a success-case scenario being tested in 2022 would amount to circa 2.2 billion barrels of recoverable oil according to the company. We intend to provide a market update after the investor presentation to be held tonight. 

We believe the macro backdrop for commodity prices remains highly supportive of the Pantheon Resources investment thesis. We anticipate that today’s update will be well received by the market and that the company’s share price will remain on a positive trajectory.

Theta West #1: Well spudded 21 January. Currently at 1,900 feet depth. Tot of target formation, the Basin Floor Fan, is c.7,600 feet depth, and c.1,300 feet estimated thickness. Plan is to drill now to the expected
total depth of 9,200 feet, ahead of planned testing operations.

Talitha #A: Fracking unit and flow testing equipment are now on location. Once the fracking has been completed a coiled tubing unit will mobilise to carry out the testing.

No surprises. All on schedule.

To all those so minded and technically capable: please don't be shy in disseminating this news on social media that PANR has spudded a well targeting 1.4bbo. Tag in #OOTT and $EEENF. No need to be modest or self-effacing about the news IMHO, plus notification of the webinar of course.

For a wee tiddler on AIM to get this far and still own 100% of the asset is something of which shareholders can be rightly proud. Plus, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! GLA
