Opinion. I don't *think* this news meets the threshold for an RNS but I could be wrong.

For me, it's more about the progress that is clearly being made by management away from the glare of the equity market. I would argue it reinforces hiddendepth's statement of a few weeks ago. I'm paraphrasing here but hiddendepths was pointing out that the progress and value added by the combined management teams since the PANR/GB merger in January '19 was now sufficient to cast off the reputational damage associated with Texas. He stated that, in his view, investors are now justified in looking forward with renewed and genuine confidence in management and the company's overall strategy.

Securing the Nordic-Calista rig for a second consecutive season and getting the Theta West paperwork in good order well ahead of the season is *exactly* the evidence of good stewardship I am looking for (and in truth now expect) from this post-merger management team. Good stuff.

Just noticed it on Reddit as well. Will be interesting to see what the market makes of it tomorrow. Does this require a rns as well?

Nice find.

I note the letter is definite about the use of the NC3 - no caveats saying "or similar rig" which is quite common in this type of application.

Also confirms as expected that the ice road will go first to Talitha then a further 10.5 miles to Theta West.

I wonder at which point this news reaches the level where an RNS will be issued?

PS I wonder if any US investors who monitor this thread will buy up $pthrf in advance of what, all things being equal, should be a positive UK market in PANR tomorrow? Any Twitter folk may wish to tweet out the link? GG? jessieduke2?

I think F are going to sell all the way down , but it isn’t going to make to much difference to the end result . It’s always worth remembering for every seller there is a buyer and vice versa

Haven't the foggiest, sandcrab2. Highly, highly unlikely in my experience that their intermediary would knock out lots of tiny wee trades like that. As I suggested earlier, looks to me like algo biz.

Bit coin - it's more than likely algo trading by quant funds. Just ignore it. It's probably "computer says buy" or "computer says sell" depending on WTI movements or some such. Occasionally you'll see traders/sales traders doing that sorta thing to get the market price to a level where they can facilitate a cross at an agreed price (clumsy description I realise) and then you'll see a decent sized print thereafter. But what you've described this afternoon is mostly algo trades IMHO.

I was house broker to a SMID cap whose mkt cap was £600m - £900m.....somewhere in that range. It was *exceptionally* thinly traded because of a core family holding plus supportive institutions who had the stock in their portfolio for years, sometimes decades. The CEO used to phone me up from time to time (probably when he wanted a break from his real job tasks) and asked why his share price was +4% or -3% in the course of 5 minutes. The answer invariably was that a quant fund was able to buy/sell deploying a tiny amount of capital and the company's share price would move x% after half a dozen small trades. Those small trades helped to move the indices in which the company was a constituent in a manner which benefited the algo running that trading strategy on that particular day. PANR is getting to a size where it'll be included in these trading algos.

There are sellers everywhere. You have to remember most people that invest haven’t a clue. They invest their £500 pounds , then panic when they are £30 pounds down and sell. It’s why research and education is the most important factor. Those of us invested here stand an incredibly good chance next spring of increasing value substantially. But you have to understand why that might be. I feel sure many people wouldn’t have a clue.

Not sure Bitcoin but the chart to me looks like were about to breakout to the upside in a large way up to late 90's I see this happening very very soon.

I expect news will be within the next 3 weeks and many will want to be on the right side of the news regardless of self fund or farm out either way we'll be drilling the most impactful well of 2022 IMO

As has been highlighted many times by different posters, last year the placing was announced 19th Nov and completed 20th - this still allowed a start to operations at what was considered an early time for the North Slope. No reason to suppose they will be any less efficient this year.
