Looks good to me to. Combining the two should result in some cost savings as well which will enhance profits.

Only glanced through the RNS but looks ok.£5m max (including the cash £1.5m?) for £1m pa profit before tax, sounds good to me, any thoughts anybody's?.Sal - thought the share price dropped on the initial news but perhaps this was because no numbers were mentioned.Strange to issue the news after close of play. Be interesting to see if it's marked up first thing.DD

The deal was announced after hours.

It seems they have a reasonably cheap deal to me and no dilution to the shares but the real profits won't come in until 2016/17 results as they split the fee commission to pay for the acquisition.

Personally I am hoping that the Charles Stanley deal does not go ahead given that the market did not react well to the announcement.
Ultimately I have been hoping that PMR would be acquired but the big blocking stake of Quinvest sadly makes that very unlikely.

Admission to trading on AIM

Gear4music, one of the largest UK based online retailers of musical instruments and music equipment, announces that its entire issued share capital, comprising 20,156,339 ordinary shares of 10p each, will today be admitted to trading on the AIM Market of London Stock Exchange plc, under the EPIC code "G4M". It is expected that Admission will become effective and that dealings will commence at 8.00 a.m.

The net proceeds from the Placing of approximately £9.0 million will be used to:

· Develop further Gear4music's bespoke ecommerce platform;
· Invest in additional marketing initiatives;
· Extend the range of products;
· Open a flagship showroom in London; and
· Pay down debt.

Well, I said I would leave by June but I cant find another place to put the cash so I will hold on here and see if I can get closer to getting my money back, personally I only need another 4p rise to get out for b/e and have a small divi to show a tiny profit.
It has been a disappointing hold and I do believe that the business is worth more but I don't make the market!
