16/2/2004 10:34 | Broker Colin Stewards will short any share for you. Im going to apply for an account when I get richer. | responsible lad
16/2/2004 09:31 | Could have shorted this actually Wole. Evo opened 15p bid and you could have sold 10k so could have made a few quid ! Gravy | day_dreamer
16/2/2004 09:29 | Did! But the price is walking down the stairs. The placing is at 1p so it seems reasonable to expect it to keep falling. | wole
16/2/2004 07:53 | Quoting 14-17p after 15-18p. I thought you lot said it was opening below 1p ?? Gravy | day_dreamer
15/2/2004 21:54 | Well, % movements on MAT will not show up on ADVFN tomorrow no matter how much it rises or falls... If trading is good and price moves upwards it might be worth getting some cos when word gets out the "masses" will rush in to buy taking the price further up. However, I doubt this will happen. | wole
15/2/2004 21:47 | Never seen this share before so only just reading the recent events so cannot rely comment too much. What made the shares soar so much prior to suspension ? Reminds me of Ferranti and Industrial Controlled Services, both shares had 1p offers when their shares were trading or last trading at substantially higher prices when the offer came out. Just wish to watch out of interest tomorrow morning. Gravy | day_dreamer
15/2/2004 21:41 | Day_dreamer - what are your thots on this little saga? Ta Wole | wole
15/2/2004 21:40 | Good question mate! Might show up tomorrow morning... | wole
15/2/2004 21:36 | How come when you put "MAT" in your monitor it does not show up yet it says "MAT" is already in your monitor when you try again ? Gravy | day_dreamer
15/2/2004 21:20 | After another look, i'm not sure about these now. 50mil new shares means a price of about 0.5p for a market cap of 250k. Existing share holders are being offered discounted shares at 1p, so they have got to come back at more than 1p bid. Which seems over priced. I think i'll watch and see what happens. | alexicacon
15/2/2004 20:53 | what makes you say that alex? | muzzy49
15/2/2004 19:10 | I think these will come back @ 3p offer, which will encourage some buying and we should see a nice rise. | alexicacon
12/2/2004 21:11 | This share was trading way higher than it should have been, but interesting that the fund raising is at only 1p. Not sure that Chiddingfold can be trusted - they have been involved with some very odd deals. Web shareshop also have 25,000 - not a very big money investment! | simonevans
12/2/2004 19:50 | Clearly they are! They've ended up dumping the companies woes on its shareholders. They'll start reducing their stake almost immediately... | wole
12/2/2004 19:31 | Looks like the MM's have taken the punters for a ride again, and these "CHIDDINGFOLD" people keep coming along and sweeping up the crumbs (a la RSV/AZH) - surely they aren't playing the same tricks again ??? | double6
12/2/2004 12:50 | Master - True it is a mandatory offer but that was also the case with AZH (prev Room Service). They have to make the offer but if no acceptances are made then it cannot be declared unconditional. It does make sense for any holder to subscribe for new share and cut their loses... | wole
12/2/2004 12:46 | FROM ....SHARES STRONGLY UP this week 09/02/04 (UPS) Master RSI - 12 Feb'04 - 12:42 - 440 of 440 edit Wole PPB This is a mandatory offer, (for going over 30%) does not mean they will bid for the company, other wise what is the point for shareholders to be invited to subscribe for new shares.    News.... The Investor Group has therefore incurred an obligation make a mandatory offer to Matisse shareholders at 1p per share. Accordingly, shareholders will be invited to subscribe for new shares by way of an open offer of 13,834,500 new ordinary shares on the basis of ten new shares for each existing share held at a price of 1p per new ordinary share. The open offer will not be underwritten. -------- Share price will open lower after issuing so many shares at a lower price but not to the price of 1p. Whoever have shares you better take them up otherwise, you will lose more money yet. | master rsi
12/2/2004 12:41 | Actually, having had a look at AZH (prev RSV), I think Chiddingfold does not actually expect to take over the company. They will gradually reduced their holding at prices above 1p. Might not be as bad as it looked at first glance. But the guys who bought at higher prices have been shafted. Even if they participate in the refinancing. | wole
12/2/2004 12:31 | RSV, now PPB, can it get any worse! | mattheworchard
12/2/2004 12:30 | Trading recomences on Mon 16th Feb but at new price of 1p! This should be interesting! | wole
12/2/2004 12:07 | Chiddingfold wants to buy PPB (now called Matisse) at a 94.7% discount! That's what I called getting shafted big time! The board advises holder not to accept the offer but with Chiddingfold holding 93.4% of the company looks like there may be no choice. Another sad day for the little guy! Good luck to any holders out there. | wole |
