31/7/2015 15:32 | Bank business lending collapses by £5.5bn in one month The surprise drop in business lending in June, which follows an average monthly increase of £200m over the previous six months, came mostly from the services sector, where lending fell by £4.4bn. The BBA said the rest of the reduction was concentrated on large businesses on the construction, energy and real estate sectors. Despite the downturn in the overall corporate lending figures, credit supply to small and medium-sized businesses showed a modest increase last month, growing by £353m. Funding Circle, an online business lender, insisted there is no shortage of demand for lending from creditworthy firms. James Meekings, co-founder of the firm, which claims to be the fifth largest net lender to businesses in the UK, said: “Traditional banks are hamstrung by legacy issues, limiting their capacity to lend. The financial system needs to offer small businesses access to a wider variety of investors.” Complete article here: hxxp://www.thetimes. | davebowler

08/7/2015 17:44 | Hi. Probably silly questions but just trying to get my head round these. Am I correct in thinking I can put these in a SIPP & ISA and they yield around 8%? Looking over some of the posts it looks like I need to buy the C shares, is that correct? Are there any annual costs like a fund/ investment trust? Thanks for your help. | fenboy2

29/4/2015 15:24 | Liberum; P2PGI's NAV return in FY2014 (December year-end) of +2.3% was marginally ahead of our forecasts (Liberum estimate: +2.2%). NAV growth post-period end has continued to rise with an uplift of 0.64% for the ordinary shares in March which is the highest monthly return to date. Returns should improve going forward as leverage increases. The rate of C share deployment remains encouraging with 32% of proceeds invested and the company is comfortably on track to meet the 6-9 month investment target. P2PGI trades on a p/NAV of 1.11x yielding 8.0% in 2015. | davebowler
