17/11/2015 07:47 | Question? If you have a spread bet long on this with a guaranteed stop at say 3p and the company goes bust do you still get stopped out at 3p. What happens with suspension?I m gonna ring IG markets anyway , I trade indices never spread bet shares so I m unsure on this one. | franky15
17/11/2015 00:28 | A few things that I have thought about recently, regarding Mr Shead himself. None of us can imagine what kind of personal intimidation 'might' have come his way this last few years. His colleagues too. When you enter into a heavy-duty litigation against a whole country, run by savages such as Karimov and their delightful acquaintances, you might find yourself looking over your shoulder permanently. You might find yourself receiving odd phone calls, at very odd times of the night. You might find yourself worrying about travel, your family, your communications, the future in general. When you have endured all this, plus the machinations of the complex arbitration itself, you would be forgiven for having a much more jaundiced view of the world. You can certainly be forgiven for not caring TOO much about a few quid thrown at this by mug PI's, gamblers, or 'retail investors' However, there are many of us that have been here several years who do not fall into those categories. There are many long suffering PI's who have held on to the shares they bought for 65p each, to show their belief in this company. I still firmly believe that compensation for stolen assets will come through. But, spare a thought for Mr Shead, his family and his colleagues. Let's not get hung up over the subtle nuances of every word. This story, and his story would make a most compelling documentary. | festario
16/11/2015 22:08 | All this daily banter and noise isn't going know where.Best have faith and leave your fate upon a main man RSIMHO We have 110% won Binary...lol what's that ?OXS will pay back and big.Best hibernate until that well deserved RNS telling us how many Billions we have won. | brewsters_millions
16/11/2015 22:04 | Hi GS it was just a simple copy and paste on here via the LSE chat room.I thought it was interesting.Figures may somewhat be out...but just the read about the man at the helm shows you what kind of a pedigree he is. | brewsters_millions
16/11/2015 21:02 | BM, you need to re-check your history 13 June 2008 Richard Shead joined the board as a non-executive director. Total Package prior to arbitration 2007 None 2008 $35K 2009 $336K 2010 $449K 2011 $250K | giant steps
16/11/2015 20:38 | The claim is based on OXS's share only, so no discount. | wulber

16/11/2015 20:16 | Had to post this from the LSE For those of you determined to gripe and moan about anyything Mr Shead says, may I remind you... 1. He worked his fingers to the bone to create a producing gold mine only to have it taken from him by armed men 2. He and his staff were forced to flee after one was arrested and jailed for years - for having content on his laptop that could be googled. He no doubt feels some guilt for this 3. He hasn't taken a salary in years 4. He moved his office to a telephone in the corner of someone else's room 5. He has a his financial future tied up in the result more than anyone on here In spite of the oppression and intimidation by A COUNTRY, he took the battle to them to protect not only his interest but all of ours. He could have diluted to hell and back and continued to rape Oxus but has done the opposite, surviving on a shoestring. He wants the decision more than any of us. Win or lose, the man is a hero in my book. So leave your petty, 'I think very near is nearer than now' bull. He said he was advised by his lawyers. He isn't in control of when it arrives. Now that he has an apatite for legal perhaps after the result he could have a couple of you in court for your slanderous suggestions. | brewsters_millions
16/11/2015 20:07 | riskier 16 Nov'15 - 12:14 - 28237 of 28260 1 1 If it doesn't happen this month, then unlikely before EOY 2015, slow down to Xmas happens earlier and earlier each year. 'very near future' was very strong statement (as was 'end 2014'), hopefully not just to get RAB / Darwin away. Have been here more than three years, would be good to see an outcome in the 'very near future'. gla. >>>>> ARMS arbitration verdict was issued on December 31st 2014 which blows a hole in your argument. | papillon
16/11/2015 19:10 | Luckyman I would only hope that damages were calculated based on our own stake in the two UZ projects i.e. no more than 50% of the total worth of the Amantaytau project. This would mean that our 'award' would not be eroded like Occidental Petroleum's and the top end of the estimate would still be achievable. | gb442
16/11/2015 18:37 | The interest alone on a big win here could be worth near the current share price annually ! That is the way I look at it. Imagine that being paid out as an annual dividend. | the stigologist
16/11/2015 18:22 | My guess is that a special divi would be paid with an announced future payment date (no suspension) and the market would then discount the share price accordingly until paid at say a 10 - 20% discount for those not willing to wait.Thats my guess anyway, plus would the company be then closed and RS sets up a new venture with a new strategy in terms of geography (outside Uzbek)? | wulber
16/11/2015 18:07 | I could see a special dividend rather than wherever the market takes the share price If market was the case we would see no one buying in to push price up or the share would open up at a new higher to take into account award but it would just drop like a stone as soon as trading opened. I think most likely a dividend payout when we receive funds from award. But you'd get others who buy in after annoucement or just before and sell out on any rise. | easwarareddy
16/11/2015 17:14 | Festario...if you've got an average less than today's price (or even over), just sell some...it's that simple. I'm not being unsympathetic well, actually I am), but you've got about £70K in here haven't you...? that's another gamble that could go t*ts up - it's your choice. Aim is dodgy business. However some people don't even have two coins to rub together, and some people across the pond don't have even that, after Friday. Get a few sold. | pennyfalls
16/11/2015 17:13 | Makes no difference to OXS as there interest is 100% of their claim where Occidental sold away 40%, hence their award was reduced to 60% pro rata their ownership. | wulber
16/11/2015 17:10 | GB442 Is this good for us? | luckyman3
16/11/2015 16:50 | Fantastic article today about BS's dissenting opinion resulting in reduced damages for Occidental Petroleum.... | gb442
16/11/2015 16:21 | Festario No need to sell OXS yet as we still have time to settle before year end. | luckyman3
16/11/2015 15:59 | I don't need to sell any OXS yet, but I needed either OXS or PRG to deliver something before Xmas, sadly there is no chance of that with PRG now. My main holding, GVC, have suspended dividends for the next 12 months, and one needs to find income from somewhere! | festario
16/11/2015 15:43 | Investing in AIM shares is tough. You can win Big but also lose your shirt. You need nerves of steel to play this game. | luckyman3
16/11/2015 15:37 | Sympathies Festario... | maytrees
16/11/2015 15:32 | I might be forced to sell some of my OXS, seeing as I got wiped out on PRG today. Isnt AIM wonderful? | festario
16/11/2015 15:31 | GS, not that I've noticed I'm afraid. | festario
16/11/2015 15:01 | Anyone starting to sense a re-rate in progress ? Sub 4p may not be for long imo (no advice intended) | giant steps |
