|chris1981: Do we expect another surge in the share price on the next piece of positive news, presumabely in the the results, that will be published shortly?|
|damanko: QS9, I make it a 4p uplift in NAV at Foresight (FTV). I am working from figures given to me by the Foresight management.
See what you mean though, OXN represents the main way in. Though possibly 24 hours too late.
As Tim mentions, the FTV share price hasn't yet reflected any rise at all. NAV is one thing, the share price something different altogether.|
|qs9: Not sure a 3p increase in its NAV for a doubling in share price is the best way into OXN soaring? Surely buying OXN is a better return?
Looking forward to press tomorrow, market obviously loved the news so who knows where this is heading....|
|damanko: Well, interesting day, but with Oxonica you get used to that.
I read the RNS just after 7 am this morning, then went to work. Thought both the price and the thread would see some activity during the day.
As a shareholder in Foresight VCT (FTV), I expect to see an uplift in its share price, though only if no bad/indifferent news follows.
Foresight has 7,734,360 shares in Oxonica, ie a holding of 12.54%. As far as I can see, there was no volume in FTV today, which is a tad puzzling. Today's rise in OXN represents an uplift of a little over 2 million pounds (to Foresight).
Yesterday FTV's quoted portfolio was worth seven and a half million pounds, right now it is worth nine and a half million.
Should be interesting to see what volume of shares in FTV (and, of course - OXN) are traded in the next few days. Long suffering holders of Oxonica though will be forgiven if they are a little sceptical.
Time, as always - will tell............|
|jeaniehow: Solid buying following the substantial addition of new shares and yet the share price stays very low. Are jo public being squeezed to sell their shares before a price rise? I wonder. The company appears to be in a strong position now and with the right people at the helm.|
|jackal2: any ideas to why the share price drop like it did do?|
|swalker: Soco, TLW, AEY, HOC amongst others.
Not too big a dump just a very small speculative position for us. Still doesnt help though.
Wonder when we will get an RNs re the share price movement?|
|damanko: Hm....... as you say, long time suspended, with no news at all.
I contacted one of their VCT backers the other day, the reply was - as you can imagine, guarded, but didn't ring any alarm bells. Unfortunately all holders can do is wait it out, and hope for the best. Remember that the Oxonica share price was actually quite a bit higer than the suspension price a year or more ago, well before any news on the Turkish front - good or bad.|
|colonel rigger: Reason share price has moved is article in this weeks Shares magazine as a buy on page 16|
|damanko: I guess the double page spread on Nanotechnology in IC (Friday), together with the advice (and write up) on Oxonica on the same page didn't do a lot of harm to the OXN share price over the last few trading days. Wonder if the majority of buying was retail, anyone have an idea.....?|
