Happy? Lord NO I find it predictably irritating.

Look at the Open shorts on Comex its beyond ridiculous

You sound very happy about that.

Longer term gold seems to be what people are betting on.

I personally think gold will travel sideways for a while but these little gold firms seem in recovery mode.

I doubt it bozzy....there is a rival to ADVFN where there is much talk of quantities of assets like their POLY shares and why not?
People seem to need to justify their sale sometimes its human-nature to hope you haven't sold out too soon.

Its different with yourself where you seemed to have a disciplined approach.

Gold is rising today up 15 points more than 1%.
That's key for now,in my opinion.

Have to reply to 6487 mikeh30

"there is a lot of bullsh1t getting sold about amount of POLY owned, assets etc"

Hope this doesn't refer to my figures which I simply lifted from the OVG accounts, including the correct number of shares in issue (ADVFN's figure is slightly wrong).

All I can say is "The trend is your friend", it started moving and I jumped on that opportunity to make a quick buck. I still don't see this going anywhere long term, once the current crop of purchases dries up I think it will start to drift downwards again.

I still lost way more on this stock than I made on Monday considering historically it was trading around 7 - 8p when I bought in and never rose above 14. After the 5 - 1 consolidation that means would need to reach 40 - 50p to even break even in today's equivalent terms.

I like the sector but hold only major producers, and most importantly Physical.

I am happy to hold my remaining shares as Gold appears to be just going through a bit of a lull.
Wouldn't be in the least surprised to see it lurch ahead again.
This company have been noticed and I am enjoying the ride!

Good to hear from you bozzy.

This is a nice board where people can feel free to be more honest, I think, and in that vein I will make it clear that I also sold half.

The remaining half are running on their profits which I like to do when I can, with shares.
It's not always possible and not always wise, it can depend on the sector's longevity if it is in an uptrend going forward.

I don't know what the future holds but gold certainly seems to be in vogue currently so I am still interested in Gold shares.
Both Bozzy and got in to these at a low.... well I certainly did 4p.something so it is only prudent to take some profits after such a rise.

We still don't know why there was such a surge in interest ,it may purely have been at last recognised for its value or there could be something else behind the scenes.
For that reason I don't want to be out completely.
Good luck folks.

Quick FYI Hazl (and others), I've sold out. Reached my target price quicker than I could've imagined.

My reason for buying OVG was the hope of a special dividend or return of capital which could've been anything up to 20p per share. At 5p it was a great risk/reward balance. At 12p that balance has changed.

However I believe some, including Hazl, have bought OVG with the hope of it becoming a producer. Target prices in that circumstance would be a lot higher than simply OVG's Net Tangible Asset Value.

Best of luck :)

nice move up. more and more investors coming back to the market. research suggests 90% chance of doing better than savings. gold prices have been increasing as have other commodities. looks like gold and mineral shares will gain ground over the weeks and months ahead.
