17/8/2016 15:56 | Good volume today and a 6% rise | bibdaddy
16/8/2016 16:26 | Further purchase today (average up). Expecting some information on preparations at site works soon, long time since the gallery was updated on the Ormonde home page. | 12vic
10/8/2016 11:26 | Not a problem Dolores and yes all likely to lead to additional demand. | 12vic
10/8/2016 10:05 | Good work 12vic. Thanks for your efforts. Clearly tungsten will be sought after. | dolores123
10/8/2016 09:21 | Clearly not enough to do today. Here's another recent published tungsten application. Again Solar related but this time the product is fuel recovered from Carbon dioxide. The potential is huge and significantly the research was sponsored by US department of Energy. Similar to the last in that tungsten provides a more efficient and cheaper means of conversion than typical metals such as gold and silver. How many other applications out there does this apply to ? For those that want to understand the science, tungsten diselinide or WSe2 is obtained by heating thin films of tungsten under pressure from gaseous selenium. I'm sure its quite simple really ! www.azocleantech.com | 12vic
10/8/2016 08:27 | Don't claim to understand the science stuff but recent discovery that Tungsten significantly increases efficiency in recovery of Solar power. Looks fairly groundbreaking and gives potential for less efficient and more costly metals such as gold and chromium to be replaced.Hard to see how this won't be monetised in some form. www.pv-magazine.com/ | 12vic
08/8/2016 15:46 | Good to see officially 2p+ (probably touching a year high !) Starting to count the rewards from accumulating these in quiet times, some significant profits but no intentions to sell. Still think company is at the beginning of a sustained move up there's a clear route to growth for ORM over the next 5 to 10 years and then forseeable production feed for many years to come. Stage 1 production Barruecopardo - continue drill develop permit underground mine - stage 2 production Barruecopardo - drill prove and develop secondary tungsten/gold deposits Saturno/Bollo/Dora/M Rose tinted glasses combined with potential - can be dangerous, but also rewarding sometimes . | 12vic
08/8/2016 12:55 | Tungsten - APT European prices vs $190-200/mtu vs $180-190/mtu on last week – prices rise again Let's hope it continues to rise now. | steelwatch
08/8/2016 12:34 | At last the offer price goes back over 2p to 2.25p! | dolores123
04/8/2016 09:58 | My hope in time is for a central hub / processing plant potentially serving multiple deposits. | 12vic
04/8/2016 09:44 | Some context to the final paragraph of the last proactiveinvestors note. Basically my interpretation why Barruecopardo should be viewed as the start of something far bigger beyond the open pit and now suggested underground mine. I posted this a while back but maybe useful for anyone new to this. Barruecopardo is a much bigger venture than the current 9 year life estimate. Less than a km way is Valdegallegos , the Saturno pit previously mined for Tungsten but also with a 300,000 oz gold resource. The Bollo Tungsten pit which is also considered likely to hold a gold resource as well. These are all owned by Saloro as also are Dora, Marta and Can again local gold-tungsten projects. When Ormonde trimmed their portfolio several years ago in a deal with Aurum mining they specifically retained all their Tungsten/Gold projects, releasing some of the Gold only prospects. In terms of exploration we have barely skimmed the surface on Barruecopardo and its adjoining deposits. The focus is of course on getting the mine up and running but actually long term the prize may be much greater than originally thought. The value of the Oaktree deal is that it makes all of the above tangible far earlier than it might have been had Ormonde chosen a different funding route | 12vic
02/8/2016 17:21 | Thanks Steelwatch. | 12vic
29/7/2016 10:02 | Not taking much to move the price today. I guess we might be looking at some of the last sub 2p opportunities ? | 12vic
28/7/2016 11:17 | Looks like the value is starting to show through here. Still holding and will be buying more soon. | 12vic

06/7/2016 12:13 | Perhaps negotiations will take many years, giving time for the Brexiters and Bremainers to arrange a softer landing for the UK economy. hxxps://piie.com/blo 85% of UK farm income is from the EU CAP!! UK Parliament is sovereign, so it is entirely possible that the politicians will never push the Article 50 button? Who knows.. but the uncertainty is very damaging for the economy. A population which has a death rate higher than it's birth rate requires immigrants to keep the economic wheels turning. Most EU populations are in decline, so immigrants are a fact of life for many countries. | admiral jellicoe
06/7/2016 11:55 | I wouldn't rule out a second vote, if the Scots vote to leave the UK, then the England vote would be tipped in favor of remain. The devaluing of Sterling by 10% in recent months, or year on year slightly more, has hurt Irish based pensions, that invest heavily in the FTSE 100. | granto2
06/7/2016 11:38 | Yes I heard that, however I believe Fidelity had all ready planned that move regardless of Brexit result. It cannot be denied but we have collectively witnessed History in the Making on the 23rd June. I fear there are very dark economic times ahead for the UK economy, which will have grave consequences for Ireland and the greater EU. Have a look at the Airbus website, they have plants all over the world. Airbus UK employ around 100,000 workers directly and indirectly. If those jobs are transferred to Poland or Portugal then the repercussions for the UK will be severe. On the plus side, there is hope with Frau Angela Merkel, BoE Governor Mark Carney and hopefully Mrs Theresa May as the future leader of the Conservative party. Once Juncker is moved out of the way then Angela (hopefully) will get things settled down to a more civilized discussions. But it is truly an enormous task to keep the ship stability and on course for the next leader of parliament. | admiral jellicoe
06/7/2016 09:25 | Admiral, Fidelity announced that it was moving 100 staff to Dublin. It surprised me because the building they acquired is a prime property that is made for 500 people. thought it strange. | granto2
06/7/2016 02:06 | Let's not get too excited about share price moves, now that we are in a post Brexit world Sterling is loosing value fast. One euro bought 75 p a few months ago, now it buys 85p.As the currencies approach parity I presume so will the share price between Dublin / London. For those of you with large wads of cash sterling it could be a method of preserving your value. Buy 1 million shares at 1.4p, allow sterling to drop to parity with the Euro, sell your million at 1.7pYou would have then converted 14,000 stg into 17,000 stgOf course if the euro share price weakens then you could end up with a loss!!! But given Ormonde is based in Ireland and has prospects in the EU and the share price seems to have bottomed out at about 1.7 c then I expect the euro share price to remain around 1.7c, sterling continuing to weaken with a corresponding rise from 1.4 to 1.7p as it approaches euro parity.IMO, I do accept there are many concerns WRT the voters of which the majority voted for Brexit. However I feel the country has committed economic suicide. FTSe 250 ( mainly domestic uk) has lost around 31 billion since the vote. Reading the FT, events are moving very fast in the markets. Markets can remain volatile far longer than you can stay solvent. IMO it's a big lose situation for UK and Europe. No winners in this one me thinks. | admiral jellicoe
05/7/2016 11:54 | On paper yes, but no, This is Spain. ( it's one step above Columbia ). I have personal experience of business there and believe me it is torture. In Spain, you have nothing until you have it in your hands. They are paperwork insane, and rubber stamp insane. It truly is one of the hardest places in the world to do business. lovely people but terrible at business. look how long this is taking. The Henhouse has some prep work done bit nothing has been built. Indeed planning permission is still under dispute and a CPO being challenged. Yes, some site works are progressing in the background. the Henhouse 'almost' certainly will be built. But, there are investors that manage funds that ONLY invest in laying hens. Others that only invest in NAV backed assets. Others only in Profit making firms … right now we are in the speculation basket. Once we are in production several investment firms will add us to their list. There is nothing like a 'laying hen'. nearly there ….. c'mon Ormonde. | granto2 |
