I'm still in and still broke due to family commitments. Feels like living in a boxing ring atm. Unable to top up or do much else. However I'd rather see a steady rise in de share price than a large jump. The shares are just too illiquid atm

Am bewildered..........

clocked in to ORM on the iii bull board mid-morning and
saw p/centage rise of 21% approx. Hence my post.

Was I dreaming it ? Was iii calculating wrong ??

Was it aliens trying to manipulate the share price ???

Ah.... no........ I'm Welsh.

Say no more !!!!!!

Apologies all and hope no harm done by this long-term holder
who's determined to get, eventually, a profit after
waiting patiently for a number of years.

Ormonde Mining* (LON:ORM) 1.425 pence, Mkt Cap £ 6.7m –

Progress as Barruecopardo heads closer to production

• Ormonde Mining has updated the market on its progress with the Barruecopardo tungsten project.

• The company has placed some 100% of priority 1 equipment orders and 60% of priority 2 orders.

• 30% of project capital is now committed with capital expenditure costs running below budget.

• Detailed process plant engineering design well advanced.

• Final site geotechnical investigations are complete.

• Dam construction engineering design 70% complete.

• 96% of land ‘option to purchase’ agreements exercised.

• A recent administrative appeal by a third party in relation to an element of the compulsory land acquisition process will delay the completion of the completion of the land acquisition process causing Ormonde to prioritise work on land it already owns.

• The company reports that its debt provider has been very constructive in discussions of modifications to the debt facility which may become necessary as a result of possible changes to the project timetable resulting from the compulsory land acquisition process.

• Ormonde is discussing the potential to extent its time line to production with its lenders as a result of this appeal.

• Drilling to test depth of mineralisation below the main pit and to the northern end is nearly done with results starting to be receive and evaluated. We expect the results from the 6 holes, 2300m campaign to be reported soon to the market.

• Q2 sees the execution of onsite earthworks compaction trials and commencement of water dam construction works.

• Ormonde are using a UK-based firm for the Construction Management Contract.

Davy Morning Equity Briefing:

Ormonde Mining
Barruecopardo tungsten project update
February 29 2016 | Job Langbroek | Morning briefing | 1 page(s) | Read Important Disclosures

Ormonde’s update on Barruecopardo points to important progress in several areas, but shareholders will look for early assurance that a legal delay related to compulsory land purchase can be speedily resolved. Some delay in commissioning/start-up is a likely outcome; however, given the current weak pricing for tungsten metal – reflecting the impact of low activity in energy and mining markets – this may ultimately work to the project’s advantage.

Plenty to digest. Compulsory purchase always presents issues and not necessarily a shock that there would be some resistance.

Good to see equipment orders going in

Here's a bit on Metso.

Update out this morning. Lots of progress being made although one of the land acquisitions has a hitch to be resolved but not a show stopper!

Iain agree with you on the news front. My key focus is on the drilling results, which I hope will demonstrate longer mine life. This for me is just as big a motivator for pricing as any positive moves on mine development.

Number 6 on the gainers list shows how quickly this one moves.

Still here and bought some more today at 1.18. For the first time my trade actually showed up on ADVFN.
See that there has been another planning application by Saloro published by local authorities. This relates to additional power work on municipal land for the mine. Document was dated 17th Feb.

Interesting article in Bloomberg about Oaktree.I can't post a link, but the article is titled 'Shrewd'.... Marks Oaktree seeing nearly 1 Billion gain on Gundlach bet.Turning a 20 million investment into almost a 893 million gain.Talk about 'jammy'!!!

we all got caught offside when the price of metals fell as we were waiting for the licenses to process. But we were also lucky that Oaktree came onboard when they did, I bet they regret it already. fingers crossed.

Have also been averaging down. My original buys back in Oct were 1.5-1.9 and those just before Christmas were 1.14 and 1.2 in Feb - all in all breakeven at current price.
There must be a few who now have far larger shareholding in this company than originally envisaged or thought possible when the share price was higher.

Hi All,

Well this week the share price has at long last moved off the bottom. I dont know what inspired the buying this week perhaps telepathy!

Anyway I bought 300,000 shares in 3 lots at 1.10, 1.20 and 1.45.

Just hoping now for a company update, news of another 25 million drawdown and an increase in the tungsten price!!

God bless all Orm shareholders.
