Update from CMA on Origin's agreement to acquire Bunn

Origin Enterprises plc, the Agri-Services Group ('Origin' or the 'Group'), notes today's announcement by the Competition and Markets Authority ('CMA') in relation to its agreement to acquire the fertiliser activities and certain assets of Bunn Fertiliser Limited ('Bunn').

On 14 July 2017, the CMA announced that Origin's proposed acquisition of Bunn would face an in-depth investigation, unless Origin could address the CMA's concerns regarding competition in relation to the supply of fertilisers in the central / eastern region of Scotland.

Origin has proposed specific undertakings to address the CMA's concerns. The CMA have accepted in principle these undertakings.
