@old fool2 - I do not think they bought Skrill for the gambling account business, for sure it is a nice to have and consolidation means costs can be reduced and a dominant position protected.

I think they bought Skrill for the paysafecard business

hxxps://www.paysafecard.com/en-gb/

There is no dominant player in pre-pay cards and most of the players are small startups with no brand name.

They say that are already the no 1 player for online payments with a prepay card, if they can extend that to be the number one player for prepay in shops as well then the world really is their oyster. Much, much larger market than gambling accounts, but very complementary.

Worldpay is missing a major service to its offering.. an eWallet solution. As old fool2 states above, OPAY's cash-cow is the Skrill & Neteller products which are heavily utilised across the globe by internet gambling gamers. The catalyst to send the share price price up significantly will be when the USA, specifically Califonia; legalises online gaming.. When that will be is anybody's guess...

From poster Moorhey on iii

It would seem that you and me Wolfhound, are on the same page looking 5 years ahead and not 5 weeks.
Yesterday, I was taken out for lunch by my "boys" aged 24 and 22, and they both (without prompting - we were talking about internet gambling) recommended using Skrill as a payment method, and said lots of their mates held skrill accounts. Me? I'd never heard of Skrill before OPAY bought the company!
Yes, there is the strong possibility that a 3rd-party will come along and try and make a takeover bid, but that bid would have to be fairly significant.
Much of the current market valuation is based on the premise of growth (OPAY only generated $59 million profit on $365 million revenue last year) but, even at 2014 figures, if you compare OPAY to similar internet-based finance companies, any bid would have to be at least double the current market valuation of £1.65 billion, and more likely a lot more than that.
Then you have to ask, who are the potential bidders? And it is not good enough just to real-off names, they have to be companies with shed-loads of cash. Otherwise, as with VISA buying VISA Europe, most of the purchase money is borrowed.
And if the purchaser doing the buying is using finance, who would you lend the money to? A big company with dead management trying to find growth by buying a fast-growing innovative market leader - or the brilliant management of a fast-growing market leader wanting to leap-frog into the FTSE100 by buying a sedentary dinosaur needing new blood? The OPAY management have done it once already in buying Skrill, so why not do it again?
I know who I'd lend my money to, but then I'm not a banker.

The Acquisition is expected to be accretive to adjusted earnings per share from the first full financial year following Completion. On-going cost saving synergies of approximately $40 million per annum are targeted to be achieved by the end of the financial year ending 31 December 2016.

Some news tomorrow stating this has been achieved or is ahead of expectation would be welcomed.

growing and consolidating sector, this will lead to opportunities for the brave, wealthy and lucky. there is always an element of risk to anything, it can however be mitigated with thought, luck and timing. we have a growth company that cash generates in a consolidating sector, there are a lot of big players and we will either gobble or be gobbled, will look at each rise in relation to the sector and make a decision is this the best place for my money to be. at the moment the answer is yes, at least until ftse entry and a year of completed results since integration, after that who knows.

its nice to be quietly optimistic rather than expect the world and be disappointed, if the share price is at £5 BY FTSE ENTRY and stabilised this will be a great result. we all want more but its dangerous to get too ahead of yourself, there are a lot of contributing factors both internal and external that will impact and day to day movements are not always great on the heart and mind to watch.
