To be fair if OPEC hadn't agreed on a cut then the man from Pru would have been alright... I guess they were just hedging against the possible outcomes, they still hold a fair whack don't they.

2 or 3 daily closes over 80p should signal a B/O at last. I don't expect it to rocket, though it would be nice to see £1 again...
Its been one boring equity and i never got my 50p and neither do i expect to now after the new ,all be it less advantageous Schlum deal....

Could be a million and one reasons for PRU selling - I wouldn't get too hung up on it - particularly if you don't hold the shares!

In the abscence of drill bit success i can't see a catalyst to drive this higher thats for sure. Doldrums for ages. Pru probably consider it dead money and will go elsewhere with their cash and may return a bit nearer the time if still interested...
Companies that lose 90% in value generally don't recover very well although there are exceptions of course such as AAL
The guy range trading probably has the best idea...

There's been a degree of support since the update and this has allowed Prudential to offload some.

Does anyone here think the share price will be above the current 76p when the first of Ophir's African gas fields comes into production?

Lots of folk will have been caught short by the RNS as well although to some of us it was still very much expected ;-)

Hopefully not tempting fate but this equity has always sold off hard on the first sign of any market weakness. The algos would immediately switch to sell. Now i,m not saying it can't finish red on such days but hopefully the sell bot algos will be far less than they used to be.
I don't expect this to rockets as any improvement in EPS is some way off but maybe a slow climb higher now Fortuna is some way to being settled (subject to FID of course).

No, I'd very much see 75p as the base now with a lot of upside should things run right. Oil price falls heavily though and all bets off.
