21/1/2017 09:35 | Those expensive tankers are looking much more of a bad buy again. Paying down debts would have been a better investment for shareholder value I think. (Or even better actually delivering on eps forecasts for a change!). Regards,Source. | source
12/1/2017 07:49 | Good to see a 5k pre-open buy already today at 64p, and the rise yesterday as well of course. | rivaldo
04/1/2017 11:56 | Ah got you thanks. Sneaks. Regards,Source. | source
04/1/2017 11:40 | on 20th dec announced dividend alternative to cash which will be priced on the 5th jan and announced on the 6th using a scrip alternative and forms sent out later | chalky
04/1/2017 11:26 | What scrip issue chalky? What would that be for?Regards,Source. | source
04/1/2017 11:07 | they are pricing up for a scrip issue on friday perhaps they are putting the price up to get less shares as a dividend | chalky
04/1/2017 10:43 | I think it's the effect of azalea capitulating! | jeffian
04/1/2017 10:35 | Wonder if the State Bank of India's drop of interest rates by 90bps last week is helping OPG. Hopefully it will help OPG's long awaited refinancing?Regards, | source
04/1/2017 10:21 | chugging up nicely | qs99
23/12/2016 22:30 | Hmmm. Didn't notice OPG going up when the Indian stock markets were up big either...probably not a helpful correlation there. OPG's terrible shareprice performance seems down to its own actions more than anything. Regards,Source. | source
23/12/2016 16:21 | It is amazing how little there is say once the personal attacks have stopped! As disappointing as the share price has been, it is worth mentioning that the Indian stock market has fallen by nearly 15% since the demonetisation event of 6 weeks ago. Higher beta second line stocks would have fallen more. Let's hope OPG begins to rerate in 2017. | the original goldbug
21/12/2016 15:31 | Flowerpothead, OPG is fully valued at around this level. Coal is worth o more than 5-6x EBITDA and so that is where OPG is. Solar adds little but sure earnings will benefit as debt is hopefully reduced. But I'm fully out now although best Crimble salutations and hope that 2017 is a better year (although you do need to read some investment textbooks - please!!) | andycapp1
14/12/2016 09:53 | So Azalea has done it again.Sold shares at a profit of course, as always. And again was brilliant enough to have done so at the top of the recent price surge. When could she have bought them this time to have made a "respectable" profit. Amazing trader it seems although tells everyone to hold long term. I do hope she keeps up the good work of keeping this a must read thread for a side splitting laugh when you need one....no offence intended Azalea....:-)) | marvelman
14/12/2016 09:34 | So what exactly is your view on the company's potential? | azalea
13/12/2016 10:10 | I wasn't expressing pessimism about the company's potential, I was just highlighting the bosh you post. | jeffian
13/12/2016 10:09 | Flowerpothead you have migrated from utter tosh to total gibberish. One minute you are saying this is as cheap as chips, long term hold, is bound to go up etc etc based on no analysis that is worth considerin; the next you say "I'm no accountant and I've flogged". You really do talk utter bilge. I've a tip. Why don't you take whatever funds you have and give them to Fundsmith, Artemis or Marlborough to invest wisely for you. Honestly you are utterly clueless. I'm considerably better than you and I don't trust myself really other than playing in the odd share and hopefully making a few quid - although OPG has not been one of my better ideas but no great damage. Please I'm trying to save you from yourself. You have absolutely no idea what you are doing!! | andycapp1
13/12/2016 09:16 | WRONG. The share price did rise when the market opened on the Tuesday and I'll wager few expected the wave of selling that followed and in the days after, for whatever the reason/s. Days later the IC giving a 'buy' recc. Only the foolish would try to go against the market trend, hence my decision to sell 5K @ 69.5p, making a respectable profit. Given your pessimism regarding the company's potential, you could have perhaps done the same. | azalea
12/12/2016 09:34 | azalea22 Nov '16 - 11:12 - 2902 of 2963 0 0 It is said that the only certainty in life is death and taxes, well here is one of my own beliefs for the next few years, the bid price for OPG shares is not going to get any lower and the offer will start to climb post Interims next month. FY 2017 results will be accompanied by a significant rise in the share price jeffian22 Nov '16 - 11:27 - 2903 of 2963 1 0 Edit There's one other certainty - your endless hype. That post is as useful as a chocolate teapot. I seem to remember getting a bit of grief for the "chocolate teapot" comment (based on the premise that share price forecasts are a complete guess, never mind a "certainty"). Thus the outcome of those "certainties" and "beliefs"? * It's not going to go any lower. (It did). * It's going to climb post interims. (It didn't). QED | jeffian
12/12/2016 08:28 | I'm curious flowerpothead. How can you possibly analyse OPG without some sort of basic accounts knowledge and b how have you have money in this piece of excrement - you seem to suggest you have? | andycapp1
11/12/2016 23:07 | Ok so Flowerpothead isn't a buyer! Oh dear we are doomed he's sold some!! Probably sensible in truth. Hey ho onwards and probably downwards | andycapp1
09/12/2016 15:11 | In the absence of accounting skills, my 'bird in the hand' instincts came into play once I saw Tuesday's early morning sells, so I reduced my stake by 5k @ 69.5p. The current offer price looks tempting on a trading basis, but I am going to hold off until Q3 approaches. If there is a presentation, I hope those attending with accounting skills, give the FD a good quizzing. | azalea
09/12/2016 13:20 | THey were suppose to present at the ProActive Investment do in London last night but got changed for someone else. Are they planning to present elsewhere soon? | plasybryn
09/12/2016 13:18 | Ah thanks. I thought there was some sort of backlog of charges because of the prior delays in commercialising their Gujarat facility and so was increasing the charges in this period until it reverted to a "normal" level of charges. Clearly not from your helpful clarification thanks. Regards,Source. | source |
