26/11/2016 10:06 | QS99 I agree. The bid price is beginning to gain traction as the volume of net buy trades take the lead. I look forward to seeing the momentum increase beyond the Interim results. 69p on the bid this morning(28/11) for 5k. Hmmn! | azalea
25/11/2016 16:23 | nice move end of day | qs99
22/11/2016 12:02 | You stated that my post was "as useful as a chocolate teapot".Which in the context of my post. I look forward to proving you wrong. That said, do what I do with posters whose posts I do not like, FILTER them. | azalea
22/11/2016 11:45 | Well I haven't expressed an opinion to "prove wrong". You can't call the share price at the best of times so your "certainty" that it will go no lower and will only go up leaves me unimpressed. | jeffian
22/11/2016 11:33 | and, the next certainty will be the Interim results proving you wrong. | azalea
22/11/2016 11:27 | There's one other certainty - your endless hype. That post is as useful as a chocolate teapot. | jeffian
22/11/2016 11:12 | It is said that the only certainty in life is death and taxes, well here is one of my own beliefs for the next few years, the bid price for OPG shares is not going to get any lower and the offer will start to climb post Interims next month. FY 2017 results will be accompanied by a significant rise in the share price | azalea
16/11/2016 14:57 | Flowerhead sellers don't "pay" to get back in. They have sold because they want to "get out". They are not going to lurch in again if the price starts going up!! Anyhow, I do think the solar idea is interesting if OPG can find an equity partner with a low cost of capital. They can make a better return by developing and flipping the assets than they can by developing and holding. In truth they could do a bit of both ie sell half to fund the equity in the remaining half or something like that. | andycapp1
16/11/2016 14:31 | The closer we get to the Interim results the more the likes of today's dribble of sellers are going to have to pay to get back in, if they so choose. The 25k buy this pm, points the way. | azalea
16/11/2016 13:55 | Rivaldo, Andy, thanks for your feedback. No 10,000 block sales today - hopefully large seller is out.The updated website shows the institutions holdings from Sep. I compared it to Junes holdings, which I kept a record of and the %'s are the SAME! So no one has decreased during this downtrend. | ballychan
16/11/2016 12:58 | I wonder if the weak sterling is finally being priced into forecasts, hence all the upgrades. If so, about time. They've revamped their website, looks a lot better and clearer. Nice to see mention of their dividend plan to progressively payout 15%-33% of net earnings. | ballychan
16/11/2016 12:54 | trying hard to get through 70p... | qs99
16/11/2016 10:48 | I think the earnings range illustrates the issue around confidence and rating. This is not a complex beast and really given they have effective fuel and PPA hedges in place the earnings should be in a really tight range the only real variable being availability which I suppose can be impacted by monsoons and alike. But the EPS should be highly predictable, at least whilst their hedges are in place. That they are not underscores the poor rating, to a degree. But nice they are up, that said! | andycapp1
16/11/2016 09:55 | Hi ballychan, thx for the additional EPS forecast info. The problem is that they vary substantially between houses, so for each info service I guess it depends which forecasts they're using. For example, for next year Cantor go for 10.81p EPS, whilst Shore have 8.7p EPS. Cenkos sit in the middle at 9.3p EPS. The only thing you can say is that OPG remain good value at all these estimates! | rivaldo
16/11/2016 09:40 | Cannot get a quote to buy online. Edit: 0945. Not surprised, as it looks like the share price is off on its next leg up, despite modest buying !!! | azalea
16/11/2016 09:03 | Early birds off to a good start. | azalea
16/11/2016 07:56 | Nope I'm the proud owner of 365k shares and yesterday for a fleeting moment I was in the blue!! Yaay. But a little realism is due. There are sellers and they have got to improve their act if they are to close the gap to intrinsic value. But no I'm rooting for them!! | andycapp1
16/11/2016 07:41 | Andy are you short? You seem almost upset we were blue yesterday.Source, agreed, there's little point jumping into new expensive projects, loading up with more debt and risk. They need to maximise what they have first. Page 60 of the investor presentation has a very interesting graph showing OPG has a net debt versus ebitda ratio of 2.3x.One of the lowest in the indian sector. Other companies go as high as 11×. | ballychan
15/11/2016 19:51 | As always, Flowerhead, cutting edge equity NPV analysis. Jeez do some proper analysis for your own wealth health! | andycapp1
15/11/2016 18:59 | quite turny | luckymouse
15/11/2016 16:06 | It'll come back, don't worry. There are still institutional sellers at this level. It'll take more than a brokers note to clear them out. Inserting share buy back powers at the AGM might persuade some to stay. Plus solid, v cash generative results!! | andycapp1
15/11/2016 14:55 | News coming | abarclay
15/11/2016 14:18 | Indeed. MM responding to buying could soon feel the pinch to find stock to satisfy demand. To that end the share price could run up to circa 80p+ which would still be circa 30p below the all time high, when capacity was well bellow what we will see in the Interims. | azalea
15/11/2016 14:06 | now getting a head of steam... | qs99
15/11/2016 13:57 | 70p next stop....just tried buying, at bid price on my online brokers...DYOR...tha | qs99 |
