I've been buying heavily in this sector recently PAG, ALD and OSB. The drop is overdone and the VM. results this morning have convinced me to keep accumulating

This has to be the most weird share ever. From 7% down to 5% up. All over the place on a daily basis. Anyone with an understanding offer any insight into why the volatility?

p_buz, Hargreaves has ex div of 14 may and 15 oct last year. Would have expected similar this year, next being after interims?

investegate and Shares mag, are both reporting an ex-div on the 18th for OSB. I can't seem to find a reference to this in any RNS release. Anyone shed any light on this?

10% down today? Due to what? Systemic risk? I cant see anything which really warrants this. Just wish I had some space cash to put to work as there's some real bargains out there if you're prepared to hold

"Shares in OneSavings Bank (LON:OSB) were one of the few risers on a dour day for stocks after Investec upped its recommendation to ‘buy’ on valuation grounds.

The stock, previously a ‘hold’, rose 8.8p, or 3%, to 315.9p. This provided some respite for investors, who have seen the shares lose almost a fifth of their value in the last month.

“Today we make absolutely no change to forecasts (or target price) but with the shares down 18% since 17 Dec with (we believe) no just cause,” said analyst Ian Gordon, who reckons OneSavings is worth 380p."

The Bank of England is getting increasingly worried about Britain's run away buy-to-let mortgage market.

And now Barclays is adding its name to the list of doubters, calling the top in a note sent to clients this week.

The bank downgraded two challenger banks, OneSavings Bank and Paragon, both of which have big buy-to-let mortgage books. Barclays says it thinks new rules to reign in the sector could be a "game-changer" and bring and end to the good times for lenders in the market.
