|richardbees: you only need one share to have the all the rights of a shareholder|
|kw: who buys or sells just one share? does anyone out there know?|
|kw: what are these one share trades all about?|
|pommy: I have to say if i was sending a signal it wouldnt be one share as there does seem to be alot of these, but then we dont remember how many lots of 18 or 27 we see so we!!
Any anyway I reckon each stock woul dhave its own preagreed amount !!!
I notice that since the first lot of 142 went thru months ago on iii its been going down of was that Bizzbuild?!!!!! and how many did each person get from Lastminute?!!!!!|
|wonging: I and a friend in early jan decided to sit staring all day at the trades on only three stocks, bradford and bingly, batm advanced communications and halifax, batm had around half a dozen 1 share trades and bradford and bingly/halifax had around a dozen each, there hasn't been any significant change in eithers share price since, therefore i add no weight to the one share trade being a code, unless its a code for no significant share price change out of the ordinary comming right up!lol|
|dr agon: anyone seen ofex today?,im sure j.p.jenkins is winding us up.there must be twenty co's with only one share traded, check it out.|
|solomon: My theory: Advfn's problems are somehow impacting on the exchange's data. Maybe it's a virus creeping against the flow of data on the exchange feed to ADVFN.
If that's not the case then its probably human in origin. We may have to use guinea pigs to solve the riddle. One of us volunteers to do a one-share trade and then we all ask that person why they did it.|
|share wizard: i noticed one share buys on mdc and min around the same time today. there was also one on qxl, and a couple of other companies (cant remember which now). most i've seen in a single day.|
|lemain: I often put one share in the field when I want a price from my broker - especially when I don't have the funds in the dealing account at that moment to cover the purchase I'm thinking of making. I've nearly bought by mistake.|
|stewjames: I've seen them quite often. They're not exactly common but neither are they as rare as you'd expect. Actually I've been responsible for one myself! My broker messed up and had to sell one share commission free to correct the mistake.|
