good question, likewise I was impressed with figures etc, and the FT 'buy' rating a month ago.... It seems they have a 'technology platform' which enables them to give more choice to a customer... But I am a beginner, so what do I know? But I am already ahead with this one, going nicely. :)

I have been looking at taking a small initial position in OTB given the figures and TA etc but I am struggling to figure what it is that sets them apart from the Thomas Cook/TUI boys in what is a small margin industry. Could someone please explain what their difference is from the other players in the business, many thanks

90 days lock-in for Inflexion before they can sell more. And it looks like they intend to repeat this to scale down their large holding.

Creditable performance given the issues in the travel sector. Also Inflexion hasn't offloaded anymore. But can OTB keep the pace up?

See posts 53 and 78. They off loaded at 215p last time:

5 August 2016

Further to yesterday's announcement, Inflexion announces that, subject to completion, it has sold in aggregate 10 million ordinary shares in OTB at a price of 215 pence per share (the "Placing"), raising aggregate gross proceeds of approximately GBP21.5 million.

Following completion of the Placing, Inflexion will hold 38,432,801 ordinary shares in the Company, representing approximately 29.5% of the Company's issued share capital. The remainder of OTB shares held by Inflexion following the Placing will be subject to a lock-up which ends 90 days after completion of the Placing (subject to waiver by Numis and to certain customary exceptions).

As per SCSW review in June issue:
'OTB says the “late booking”’; market in particular will be stronger than usual this year and it is seeing a shift in bookings away from Turkey/Egypt to Western Europe. That should drive H2 booking rates.'

Now they are expecting a much weaker lates mkt.

As previously stated, the Board had anticipated a strong "lates" market as summer approached. These factors have and continue to impact the "lates" market and we now expect a weaker outcome in this segment, resulting in significantly fewer consumers travelling this year.
