FWIW I am no longer a holder of OUH. Decided that progress may be slow for a year or so until the Bermuda profits start coming through. Happy with the return on my investment.

eps 17.4p about what I expected. A little higher on the NAV with 95p.

Ticking up. I noticed CHU's results today. The share price at 67p is at a 60% premium to tangible NAV of 42p. Were OUH given the same rating, with NAV of 92p, almost all cash, this would imply a share price of 147p. But their prospects seem better than CHU's.

Shame it's a non-CREST share isn't it....means I can't trade it through my normal stockbroker (Squaregain). Just lucky that I've also got a TDW account, as they'll deal it.

I see HWY & CHU are moving up. I hold HWY as well as OUH. After a successful placing at 110p it would be reasonable to expect OUH to move up further. NAV per share will rise from 67.2p at Interims to 92.5p after placing. As I said in post 2, Omega's big advantage is that it is going to gain the benefits of the increased rates in 2006 but has not suffered the losses in 2005. Relative to its peers a share price of 140-150p would seem reasonable.

Some corporate activity today. Omega seem to be in the right place at the right time. Following Katrina, Rita and Wilma nearly all reinsurance companies have increased their capacity to take advantage of the substantially increased insurance rates for 2006. Some like Hiscox (and Omega) are setting up in Bermuda. Omega's big advantage is that it is going to gain the benefits of the increased rates in 2006 but has not suffered the losses in 2005.

Interims look good. Chief Exec says "I am pleased to report a very positive outlook for the second half of 2005". Floated on AIM at 115p.
