Old Monk Company plc ('the Company')


As detailed in the announcement dated 18 September 2002, the Board had
undertaken discussions with the Company's bankers concerning its financial
position. Following an unsuccessful outcome in respect of these discussions the
Board has resolved to seek the appointment of an administrator. The Board
believes that this course of action provides the best option for delivering a
stable environment in which the Company can continue to trade. Accordingly, the
Company has requested suspension of trading in its shares pending a further
announcement.

Doft has raised his price target on the company to $72 from $60. He sees fiscal 2002 earnings of $3.44 and fiscal 2003 earnings of $3.69.

To think I actually thought this looked a sound investment a year ago but luckily decided to stay away from small stocks.
Expanding into an increasingly competitive environment ?
Low interest rates aren't helping are they.
