02/4/2014 09:44 | looks like those 2 x 50k's were buys, looks like one of my small lots was the cheapest of the day, which is nice | empirestate
02/4/2014 08:38 | if it smells like dog and woofs like dog then its a dog Mr banker deal or no deal | dewtrader
02/4/2014 08:36 | I picked up a few at the open, poor outlook was already flagged, cashflow was strong. After the half year results directors were buying @34p and the price rose to c.50p - the company is in a similar position today as when management bought @34p apart from there is now an activist investor who may be keen to pick up further shares to bolster their position but at the very least will push management to improve the business sharpish (or as it seems push them out of the door!) Still high risk given the debt but I think the early drop on these results was misplaced. | dangersimpson2
02/4/2014 08:22 | picked up a couple of lots on the discount, reckon the Americans might buy a few more to reassert their position. | empirestate
02/4/2014 08:08 | Results seem ok but the outlook seems poor. | she-ra
02/4/2014 07:58 | Pre open MM's marked won heavily (some 3-4p) but no voluem either side. Looks as though they are very uncertain as to which way the market will take the results and have widened theirr margins - Will be interesting to see action today. | pugugly
02/4/2014 07:51 | so no divi and not a rosey outlook. market will punish this at the open, so it should be worth buying a few on the discount imo. | empirestate
31/3/2014 09:11 | Results Wednesday, should be interesting to see the reaction. Would like to see guidance if their cost cutting and efficiency drives are offsetting lower margins and of course some decent cash inflow to reduce the debt. | empirestate
26/3/2014 18:15 | I can't find much information on the two names he is proposing for the board. The market hasn't been too wowed by this move. share price barely up. | boonkoh
26/3/2014 11:07 | I wonder what he wants to do with the company? | she-ra
26/3/2014 08:11 | Gerber playing hardball to take some control of the goings on in the company. I am not surprised, if I had 9% interest I wouldn't want to see my investment not perform due to the poor management of the company. This is a really interesting one to see how it plays out. | empirestate
22/2/2014 12:30 | A bit of buying over the week. Its been tipped twice in the last the 30 days does that mean a takeover rumour is next? | she-ra
16/2/2014 16:37 | That's interesting, I wonder what reasons were given for that? Perhaps nothing though, from what I remember of Share Prophets, fundamental analysis wasn't their strong point. | daz
16/2/2014 15:22 | Office2Office was tipped by Share Prophets on Friday.Hence the rise. | she-ra
05/2/2014 11:27 | Gerber increasing his stakes Doesn't take much to jolt this share upwards! I noted yesterday though that Blackstone had written down the value of one of its office supplies portfolio companies. | boonkoh
05/2/2014 09:58 | Nice movement | chrisis33
23/1/2014 22:19 | No position but Gerber's stake building is interesting. | she-ra
23/1/2014 21:25 | I'm not short either. No position. | topvest
22/1/2014 22:04 | Im not short and have given no reason to suggest I am. I think its a bit childish to throw that one out when you don't agree with someone who doesn't see everything with rose tinted spectacles. | she-ra
22/1/2014 21:59 | Well, good luck to the three of you with your short positions. I'm happy being long here. Don't think there's anything else I can add just now. I took advantage of a technically oversold position at 22.6p to invest in a company that I believe is fundamentally undervalued following what I believe to be the "smart money" Stop loss(profit) in place so I can just sit back and see if this plays out to be a multi-bagger or not. | drunken monkey
22/1/2014 19:33 | Stationary is a product area that is becoming increasingly technically obsolete - technical obsolescence and healthy profitability do not last together for too long. Being a fairly sad person I have made a long list of products that are becoming technically obsolete. I don't invest in any businesses connected with that list. Try it yourself ---newspapers, stationary, magazines etc. I had about 100 items. | topvest
22/1/2014 14:56 | Hi Drunken Monkey. I didn't say paper documentation would become obsolete all I was suggesting is that there becomes a point when the ratios make Office2Office become less profitable. They themselves have already highlighted how their stationary subsidiary is experiencing a change in the way and what customers order. I think you may need to go back and read some of their last RNS's. | she-ra
22/1/2014 08:20 | I think Mark Twain put it best - "The reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated." OFF isn't dead & its still managing to make some money and pay down debt. No doubt, business practices are evolving and certain records remain digital thoughout their lifetime. However, the "paper free" office hasn't (and in my opinion won't in my lifetime) materialised - rather like the office block being made redundant as home working took over the world. I would suggest taking a little time to check out empty office space compared to 2 years ago. So, whilst I partially agree that certain products will has a less significant role to play in the workplace, the actual total workplace size is growing and this will more than cancel out moves to digitise records. I suppose that I take some additional comfort that the actual trigger for my entry was price movements indicating that there were some large delayed buys occuring. Always nice to side with someone who has deep pockets made so by being right about investment decisions... | drunken monkey
21/1/2014 19:29 | Drunken Monkey I doubt whether Office2Office is now that dependent on UK PLC recovering although I admit it would help a little. You see there is structural change going on in the market. You see it in others such as with Woolworths and HMV where they suffered as CDs and to a certain extent DVDs changed to downloads either legally or illegally. With Office2Office you are now seeing tablet computers used more widely. The office place is becoming more and more electronic and that trend is only going to continue as more and more traditional paper documentation moves to digital. People have been going on about this NHS contract but what of the margins? Because Office2Office seems to operation in a low margin sector. I was excited about the close loop document destruction/recyclin Someone above mentioned £200 million revenues. But like they say "revenues vanity, profits sanity'. Ive seen better companies slip into administration with substantially more revenues. On the Office2Office LSE board there was a copy of a letter claimed to be sent from Vostok to the BOD's.Look like a bit of trouble making .And the company's owner appears to have a history of that in Tanzania if a Tanzanian newspaper is to believed. I wonder what his strategy is but reading the letter reposted on the LSE board I would suggest he isn't a predator. But he doesn't want to lose any money; so it is interesting. Neither do I think Gerber is stalking Office2Office. He doesn't seem big time enough to take it over assume all the debt and other liabilities. So is he acting on anothers behalf? I don't know but I have decided not to gamble on this. Im 50/50 think it will go under or you'll get a takeover. So im not comfortable but good luck to all holders of the stock. | she-ra |
