30/3/2006 14:07 | Vassily - yes, completely crazy to wind the fund up, and messy for resolving AR. | giant steps
30/3/2006 13:56 | The ways metal prices are going, silver in particular, can anyone see OCE being wound up in early 2007? Surely OCE has something more to give over the next few years, despite some laggards in the portfolio. I look for ward to the NAV for April and May. V | vassily

11/3/2006 04:43 | GS: Not bad. You were right. NAV Tempered by AR. in the main, though AR has recovered a bit since then and clarified its current position. V | vassily

04/3/2006 14:30 | AR has taken some hit in the last few days. Looking on does shed some disturbing light facing Archipelago. OCE still seems to be stuck in a rut and this looks likely to continue. | giant steps
01/3/2006 13:08 | Vassily - not had a chance to look yet, but suspect decline in AR is compensated by rising RHEP, so may be fairly neutral (guess) | giant steps
01/3/2006 12:58 | GS: Any predictions on the Feb 2006 NAV? I think it will be slightly higher as RHEP has made a come back, though it might be tempered by some declines in gold stocks. | vassily
23/2/2006 09:12 | odd how rhep jumped up yesterday wasn't it! | rambutan2
23/2/2006 08:19 | OCE should get a deserved boost from the commendable RHEP interims (just released) | giant steps

07/2/2006 09:33 | GS: Would be good to hear some news from AR. about the main batch of mining equipment. Do you think this will happen in next month or so? It's been a year, I believe, since they cleaned and packed this stuff up. I wonder what the hedge funds in OCE think about the gold/metals price and its future. I assume that is what they were speculating about when they got into OCE. Perhaps what is happening is exactly what they thought would happen, but I am surprised with the cut off date for OCE. Oh well, we shall see. V | vassily
07/2/2006 09:19 | Terra Nova will add nicely to Feb NAV | giant steps
07/2/2006 09:10 | Terra Nova Gold Corp. jumps 66.7% yesterday to c$0.20 on no news. More interest in gold juniors I suppose. Bralorne and Terra now appear to be following the rise in the spot gold price. Merit Mining is also up, by 16% yesterday. Not sure if OCE still has stake, but like Barlorne its share price is now firmly linked to the gold/metal prices. Edit: It's strange the AR. share price has not shown a similar link to the gold price. Comments anyone? V | vassily |
