03/1/2017 16:18 | I did read all your posts, and bought a few back this morning. :) | bamboo2
03/1/2017 16:14 | Good man. I'd have shared a glass of champagne with you had it been forthcoming!! This year is all about revenues imo. Once they've proven they can do it, the upside is phenomonal. From seed to plate. | jack jebb
03/1/2017 13:38 | I'm in because of Mudbaths competition. I'll probably hold for full 12 months | netcurtains
03/1/2017 07:11 | Beeks - you could be right however I really want to be in for the longterm but would be sorely tempted at 40p? What Corporate activity do you foresee? | michaelfenton
02/1/2017 19:45 | In the absence of profit taking, this could double or treble quite quickly. I have the feeling we won't be sat around all year waiting to cash in. Corporate activity could have us all taking profits quite early on. | beeks of arabia
02/1/2017 18:55 | HotStockRockets three share tips of the year 2017 PUBLISHED: 30 Dec 2016 @ 12:11 2. We tipped Obtala (LSE:OBT) at an 8p offer and the shares are now 20.75p-21.5p and we are again increasing our price to but to 23p – these shares should be closer to 40p than 30p by mid year. The transformation has been driven by new chairman Miles Pelham who has invested heavily himself both in the ordinary shares but also in a recent preference share issue for the forestry division, Argento. Pelham set out to raise just $5 million of new money for Argento. But it was massively oversubscribed so he has raised a firm $14.25 million with a further $5 million waiting final sign-off by a major Asian institution. Nearly all the cash was raised out East where Pelham is based. Existing investors in forestry units will be converted on the same terms into these prefs which means that the total investment in Argento will be $22.95 million for a 22.5% stake. That means that Obtala’s stake in Argento is worth c$78 million. So Obtala has a forestry stake worth $78 million, its agricultural business and net cash of $15 million and is valued at just $68 million. The agricultural business is in our view worth at least $20 million which gives a sum of the parts of of $113 million, almost double the current market cap. Obtala will use the cash raised to invest in both forestry and agriculture bringing both to the point where they are both profitable cash generators rom next year. For our second tip of the year we lift the limit buying price to 23p with a target to sell of 36p+ | scotty1
01/1/2017 17:55 | Sounds like heaven, Beekster :-) | jack jebb
01/1/2017 12:08 | mod, just to clarify, the 8/10 stat refers to the number of triangle apexes that I have found in last six months or so that actually did predict turns and their direction. It is not an indication of return on trades. There is some information on the technique I am practicing here, | bamboo2
01/1/2017 08:14 | Happy new year Obbers. This is the year that Obtala becomes a major company, with serious revenues. If and when the market cap reaches $100m and then £100m, a lot more major funds will be allowed to buy. The rally of 2016 was just the start imo. | jack jebb
31/12/2016 19:52 | Bamboo, I don't know how you buy and sell on a staircase chart like OBT but 80% success rate is remarkable. once you have taken into account the spread and dealing charges, imo it's best to buy and hold until the story changes or the chart breaks down. I have held since the beginning of the year and I think the share price could easily double up next year. The turnaround is just starting to take shape and I am willing to ride the story. GL | modform
31/12/2016 13:24 | scotty1 - you are right. OBT is for holding - I am more than 150% up and have sold a few at 20p. Now hope to sit for the ride. | michaelfenton
31/12/2016 13:12 | Bamboo OBT hasn't been a trading share for well over a year if not longer, look at the chart the long term pattern is up and as been for a good while and buying the dips and selling the top(even with good timing) wouldn't have made you money what with the dealing costs in. | scotty1
31/12/2016 11:24 | At first sight it appears that I the turn I was attempting to trade has not materialised. On reviewing the chart, I can see that the apex is particularly acute, so perhaps I should have been more flexible on timing, assuming the turn was actually going to happen at all! I may keep to the apexes of the smaller flag type triangles in the furture, and avoid those triangles and wedges that have too much white space. As I mentioned previously. I am experimenting with this technique with various shares, and to date I have had an approx 80%+ success rate! I guess another flag will develop over thew next few weeks, so will look to this pattern to time my buy back. Happy New year! e | bamboo2
31/12/2016 10:38 | ishares S&P Timber & Forestry [WOOD] hit a ten year high this week. Up 30% year on year which is an indicator for demand & price. | henryatkin
30/12/2016 13:25 | Thanx for that Scotty1 - unsueprisingly I totally concur. Happy New Year to all. | michaelfenton
30/12/2016 10:49 | Commerzbank AG still offloading a few but being done in a nice orderly fashion so not affecting the sp,if the share price is anything to go by it looks as though they are all being taken up ;)) | scotty1
29/12/2016 15:19 | Lol. Thanks. Still. Doing alright here! | zcaprd7
29/12/2016 13:17 | The well being of a anonymous avatar has been on my mind all xmas. Thanks for clearing that up. | beeks of arabia
