divina politically they are a mess ---really this country has had so much private money pumped into obscure mining projects since the last world war --i myself have no desire to be involved --i gather the original deal that was intended for oakgate has now been injected into metals exploration and the shares are currently trading at 9p having risen from 3p --good luck to them the company still has to come up with earnings ---as far as i am aware no british company has ever earnt or shown a profit in this region of the world -my argument is there are numerous and much better and safer projects for oakgate to reverse into

celtic take it easy my friend -we all have got it wrong on this stock as far as the timing i am glad oakgate didn't go through with the philipino deal which would have been a disaster imo

The Philippines has the 3rd biggest untapped deposits of Gold in the World The biggest Copper mine in the World. Politically they are a mess They need outside companies to invest. Becuase they have NO money, but International companies want too big a slice. If they were not so greedy there is BIG money to be made here!

Hey madskt....not sure market forces alone can justify a 40% rise based on such relatively small volume and nett +value traded today. Nor yesterday ;)

I see it as just market forces - sellers took it down, buyers took it up.
Punters buying in seing no news in a week or so may sell to lock in their 30-40% gain and we'll start drifting again ....

..of course, if the *deal* is announced ....

That's not a bit of wishful thinking on your part madskt (to see sub-10p again) ?.

Surely where this current buying stops is just as crucial - something neither you nor I can know the level it will stop at. If it goes back up to 45p again it is unlikely we will see sub 10p for some considerable time - news or no news. It took 12 months without any news during 2004 for it to drop back to 10p level. Surely we wont have to wait another 12 months for a deal to be done ???

Nice to see some punters having to pay more today for this stock than I did ;)

Would have put money on these sinking below 10p mid this week...

An 80% rise in mid equates to a current real return of 33% - buy for 12p yeaterday, sell for 16p now - not bad if you're willing to take the risk...

Without news, I'd still expect to see this sub 10p at some point...

a deal will eventually be done when and at what level ?--these shares could be 30p or a pound followed by an inevitable fund raising for the owners of the target company --my money is on these shares going to £2-00 next year after the deal is finalised --wish i got stock at 8p yesterday -cele vie
