25/8/2011 11:29 | timely4....Are you still here or was that your sale today? | the_beagle
31/7/2011 16:05 | timely No, but the BOD have said that there are such plans. I appreciate that new shares cannot be issued sub their nominal 5p level but there will be ways of getting round that, I'm sure. | the_beagle
30/7/2011 10:03 | Hi beagle - any thoughts as to how they will finance any new developments? | timely4
28/7/2011 17:29 | But not for long! | the_beagle
28/7/2011 15:20 | Well that was well received, by the MMs at least. Up 33% on no trades. It looks as if we may be running in profit now. All we need to do is to get the finances sorted and then hopefully some exciting acquisitions. Still on a 50% loss but much happier after this showing. | the_beagle
26/7/2011 12:44 | First buy today for weeks from memory. There is still life it seems, but a couple of 0s on the end would be more encouraging. The more I look into this company the greater the prospects look, just by improving returns from the current businesses, never mind some Rotherham development. Interims were out on 30th July last year so there could be news soon. | the_beagle
11/7/2011 09:54 | It's all speculation obviously but it is encouraging that someone has joined the company. One thing that appears to have been missed is that he is an "associate director" (whatever that is supposed to mean). I do not see why interims should not follow the usual course but that is down to the Company. My basic calculations would be only about £1.25 per person based on the full year figures. If they can get that up to a £5 spend per person at the Country Park things would look a little better. | ghbg
11/7/2011 09:47 | Hopefully they will have some news on any deals struck with the creditors befor long. Once that is out of the way hopefully they can move forward. | timely4
11/7/2011 08:48 | ghbg.....I'd forgotten about the 5p NV. I think however that there are ways of reducing the nominal value by applying to the courts. Splitting the shares by 5 is not an option, I agree. Re the interims which have been announced on 30th July in recent years, do you think we will see them this month. We've only just had the finals for last year. | the_beagle
08/7/2011 13:44 | Difficult to place 45m shares at 1p when the nominal value is 5p. That would require the 55m shares to be split to 275,000,000 1p shares with another 45m shares taking us to 320m shares. Don't see it. What is needed is the interim results to give an idea as to income and trading at Rother Valley Country Park. | ghbg
08/7/2011 09:47 | Cunningham hopefully does have funds and the only way he can make serious money out of Oak is to get a sizable equity stake. I would not be surprised if the next news is of a placing of say 45m shares at maybe 1p to give the company about £425k of new funds. If Cunningham were to take £200k worth that would give him a 20% stake in the new capital. I'm sure there would be plenty of takers for the balance of the issue at that level, and who knows, we may be given a chance to subscribe. Also I could see the issue of warrants to all the connections, which would allow him to maintain his stake even if Oak go on an acquisition spree through further share issues. I'm sure Cunningham has such plans. Not my favourite result but subject to any acquisition being "tasty" it should get the share price up and running. I cannot stop thinking of those 900,000 people a year entering the Rotherham project. There must be money to be made there, and Ringwood is stuffed with vintage cars, old fairground attractions and railway memorabilia. I wish I was in a position to asset strip this company! | the_beagle
07/7/2011 19:22 | Good point. | timely4
07/7/2011 12:09 | As Aspro are a private company, it is difficult to find out what they paid for Blue Reef Leisure but Ian Cunningham may have funds available to put into Oak if he thinks it is worthwhile. | pifedayo
05/7/2011 09:55 | He seems to have the right sort of experience for Oak's needs at this time. | timely4
05/7/2011 09:42 | The company gets nearly a million people a year through their gates at Rotherham alone. If they could make 50p per head, then that's the market cap! Then there is Ringwood. Look at the website. The vintage Hispanios and the old Carousel must be worth a few hundred thousand. With rhe right management and a bit of spending money, this company could be a little goldmine imo. | the_beagle
05/7/2011 09:20 | Why do you say that? At least it suggests we are a going concern. | the_beagle
05/7/2011 09:18 | Well that latest appointment appears to have been a dis-appointment with the share price staying static. | gbb483
16/6/2011 10:01 | If it keeps dropping like this I might just mount a bid myself! Market cap £0.6 million! | the_beagle
14/6/2011 19:48 | In imo a very strange time to sell. I am waiting to see how they get on with sorting out their creditors and securing the new investment. | timely4
14/6/2011 10:54 | 300k sale now through. Not very nice of him! MMs have held the 1p bid for lesser amounts though so maybe a buy will be reported later. I think I'd have some more at that price myself. In for a pound etc, but in my case rather more! | the_beagle
07/6/2011 11:19 | Sale of 150k just knocked it though! | the_beagle
02/6/2011 06:57 | You read it correctly, but I'm afraid it was posted wrongly! Sale of 100k yesterday at 1.25p did not affect the bid though. | the_beagle
01/6/2011 21:28 | Did I read it right that someone bought shares at 7.8p?! | timely4
27/5/2011 07:10 | Cheers timely. Obviously at this level it's a hold for me too. I did try a dummy sell the other day and was bid 1p for a few hundred thousand so there is some support. Perhaps we will be drinking Champagne in a few months time! | the_beagle
26/5/2011 18:37 | I went to the AGM. Naturally they were very guarded in what they said so as to avoid giving any information which would then require an rns to the market. So I don't have any new facts from what was in the annual report. My impression (so please take it in spirit offered, and certainly don't buy shares on the basis of what I say below), was that they are trying to work through all the issues, like trying to reach agreement with the creditors, and they confirmed they are still in discussion with a third party about them investing. Whether the Directors' will be successful in securing Oak's future remains an open question until any of the above become a reality. I did find them though to be genuine in their intent, and on a personal level, while I have no choice but to hold onto my shares, I am happy to do so to see if they can be successful. As for being unresponsive to phone calls etc bear in mind they are now operating on a bare minimum level of resource. | timely4 |
