ghbg......Thanks for that, the rule 46 bit I had not opened. Now viewed, but not fully understood!

Anyone around who went to the AGM? Anyone with any gossip or views on what is going on with Oak?

Annual report is available on the oak holdings website under the documentation in rule 46

ghbg...Thanks but I don't have the annual report, my holding being with TDW. The Agenda was not attached to the company results on line, nor is it on the company's dire website.

I phoned the Nomad at 8.45 but nobody has returned my call, as is the norm.

If you can please post the agenda on here.

Thanks, TB.

The proposals are detailed in the agenda attached to the annual report.

They might've put the decimal point in the wrong place - though iii show no trades today, so it's probably from another stock and the Epic got corrupted.

A trade of 40k at 7.8p just reported. I wish!

No mention by the company that the AGM is even happening. I hope timely4 doesn't find an empty meeting room. The BOD couldn't be bothered to get back to me to confirm the time and place, nor what is on the Agenda. I have rather stupidly bought 500k shares over the months since Rotherham spoilt the party, and have never come across such a bad company for shareholder liason.

Hopefully something good will come out of this but I'm not holding my breath. Bought for a punt with my eyes open, and I've mentally written it off. But who knows.

Hi

Just leaving to go to the AGM. Will report back if I get any snippets worth feeding back.

When this stock was "Anglo-Welsh", I took out their sponsored MBNA credit card. I think its finally got to the stage where I'm going to switch to a card which gives me the discount.

The agenda will be the same as it is for the AGM of any company.

1 - The Chairman tells everyone how well they've done

2 - We're all so impressed we re-elect the directors for another term

3 - We give the board special powers to give away bits of the company

with minor variations.

timely4...AGM tomorrow. Are you still going? I phoned the company last week to see what is on the agenda but they hadn't the curtesy to call me back. Never a good sign but you never know, there may be much good news in 24 hours. Please report back if you go. Cheers TB.

I did say I was just guessing, and as boadicea says they may have too little time left.

I think it has to be done at a specially convened meeting (EGM) but could be contiguous with AGM, saving time and money as you say.
However, a specified number of days notice (how many?) would be required, I believe.

Interesting - I hadn't realised they could do that.

The last couple of RNSs have stated the copany's intention to raise funds through a placing, acquire another company through the issue of shares, perhaps sell some assets and then to arrange suitable longer term bank facilities.

To save the need for an extraordinary general meeting to vote any of that through, the company can put it to shareholders over the course of the next ten days and vote on the proposals at the AGM on the 25th.

Saves time and money I would have thought, but I am just guessing.

Any reason why you expect news before the AGM?

I'll think of some for sure! However I expect a lot of news before then, so things may change, even for the better maybe.

I am planning to go to the AGM - any Qs you would like me to ask that won't get me removed from the building?!

gbb...At the speed that the directors have been jumping ship, I don't think there would be any left by the end of the Summer. 2012 and we will have metamorphosised or gone bump imo.

I guess the plans won't be available until May 2012, and even that would be a bit fast for this lot.

The AGM is in a couple of weeks ie. 25th May. I would think the BOD, if there are enough left to be called a board, would want their reconstruction plans in the public domaine like now, before that date so that they can be voted on at the meeting.

Maybe that's pushing things a bit fast for this lot, but you never know!
